Good post. Myself, I'm very appreciative of what that generation had done for us. I lost 3/4 of my family in WWII, my great-grandfather and both of my grandfathers were in the Polish resistance, I've heard the stories of how Nazis torched their entire village in barns, it's something I will never forget, even though I've never experienced those horrors.

I'm quite the opposite, I didn't care much for religion as a kid, only to have found it much later in life. Having said that, as I've pointed out quite a few times, I'm not fond of the Roman-Catholic church I'm a part of. I do have faith though and ultimately that is the only thing that counts as far as I'm concerned. I don't walk around and preach my beliefs and I can't stand people who do. Religion and faith should be our own business and nobody else

No it won't. It's what we want to believe to make us feel better. Anyway, I shouldn't talk, I take out my frustrations on carton boxes, 'nuff said.

Oh well, at least you had the balls to call her. Wouldn't give her a second thought. There's just something about girls that tease while in a relationship that shits me no end. Break up with the poor sod, THEN go on a teasing spree. Don't fuck around while your man is back home oblivious that you're making a bloody fool of him. We just never see it coming, huh?

For what it's worth, I agree with your thoughts on the subject. Good luck to your princess, she's entering a whole new world :)

Mate, you're nuts :D Glad to hear you've had fun. Who knows, it might work out and if not, better an opportunity lost than nothing to begin with. Take care Mugz.

I'll join in, she's supporting me, I'm game to support her :) Support groups can be addictive, I actually do know people who are peer group junkies, much akin to the main character in "Fight Club".

I'm looking back on my life and depressing myself at how little has changed, I don't think they're airing Survivor in Australia yet, in fact I hate all those reality shows, so I wouldn't be watching that anyway :) Much rather read a book or go for a walk.

Nicky...I'm speechless. I'm trying to come up with something, but all I can really say is that I'm amazed how strong you are and your little girl is very fortunate to have a mother like you. As far as the guy goes...it's definitely NOT a guy thing. I would never turn my back on my own child and as Muggaz said, someone else's either. I'd never abandon my child. Ever.

And to mine..."Down with routine". We're all grappling with the same issues every now and then, it'll pass mate, like everything else. Don't let it get you down. And do something about it, whatever you do, don't allow yourself to fall into hibernation like I have.

You're paranoid. Unfortunately I can't relieve your paranoia, I live in Sydney's inner-east and the last time I've ventured westward was back in 2001.

Hear hear. I resorted to carrying two packs around when I go out, one for myself and one for the scabs. I'm so pissed with myself that I didn't manage to quit back in January...lasted all of 8 days :/

I sort of replied to your posting on my blog, have a read if you want, a slightly different perspective :) I only wish Miss Palmer were a virgin.
