well it wouldnt be the first time they did the alien cast member...........its been done in all three shows prior to SGU......bet most of you dont remember SG: Infinity. Not considered canon but it was based on SG1 and came out long before SG: Altantis.....it was animated and horribly done.

Well your idea would work Jetheren but just keep it from summing it up as if it was the whole war, Something like "Weve fought hard and long, lost many of our brothers and sisters in the name of liberation from these intruders, tyrants and slavers, but our victory is short lived as we have only pushed them from this sector and now have to send our surviving brave troops to the next to face an uncertian future. May our Victory here be the beginning of triumph over our mortal enemies!"
thats whats got me wondering how they are going to explain the appearance of all the extras once the crew starts dewindling. They got to the ship with if I remember correctly was 80 so personell. So far theyve lost 3, not alot but, with who knows how many seasons this show will keep running, they will start losing characters for the sake of keeping it interesting.
I still wanna lean towards the Vasari doing it themselves. Their quite arrogant and seem to always be looking for something to gain an advantage. Id bet that not all races they came in contact with were always easy to handle. And sometimes required them to research new tech and change tactics to allow for them to continue their conquest.
Id actually be more into SGU if there wasnt SOOO much drama. If they cut about 20 minutes of Bitching and added in some useful drama. Like I dont know an alien boarding party or the F'ing scientists like Rush actually coming up with an idea to actually save them instead of playing with the battery charging device I might enjoy it more often. I really do get it that the show is more about inner conflict amoung the crew, but please if I want to watch 45 minutes of arguing. Ill go sit in
why do you think theres a war every few years?? population control. Humans are Humans only natural enemy. Other then viruses.......
To me, the Vasari would most definitely scavange anything more advanced then theirs. If they were to remain the Top Dog in the Empire they ruled from 10k years ago. They most definitely would have been looking for new ways to keep more and more slaves undercontrol. The fact the first thing that comes to mind upon entire planets going silent, is rebellion tells you it most likely wasnt the first time someone tried to overthrow the Vasari or that many believed their own downfall would come from
I always thought putting variety into the ships themselves would create different fleet makeups. Like going heavy on weapons apposed to heavy on shields, or even balanced.
Technically were not throwing in new races were debating on some of the possibilities of how the Vasari came to utilize the different technologies they implement during combat.
they didnt have many races they had different factions. Up until C&C generals they went with only 2 factions Allies vs. Communists or GDI vs. NOD. Generals finally accepted the three factions idea with China, US and terrorists. But C&C Red Alert series always pits the Allies (they may be different individual countries, but they all use the same Tech so they are technically one faction) against the Communists (again individual countries, but used the same tech). Only difference was som
yes its the TECs fault the Vasari show up on their doorstep and kick it in instead of knocking and asking politely for trade so that they could continue running...Damn TEC always getting in the way.
they said their wont be the big evil alien race...the badguys are the crew. each member will be a badguy at somepoint in the show atleast thats what im taking from the interviews prior to the premiere
Hate it? I was all for the show when I heard they were bringing out a new SG show, hell I was all for them taking it a different direction...........but after watching the show..I know its not gonna be a true SG show. Atleast with SG: Atlantis it kept the SG ball rolling. This show has been on for 4 weeks now, with 5 episodes. How many times have they used the Stargate since boarding the Destiny?? Once.....How many times have they encountered an alien culture, alien race. The closest they cam
well like ive been told. take the lumps you have coming........smurfing because you dont want to be a target............? well I dont want to be a target for smurfs because they dont want to be targets themselves.
i always thought cutthroats resembled chopshop scouts hips.
um i think your talking about the tech that allows you to leave your system and jump from one star to another.
This show is going the direction of SG:Infinity..................I doubt itll be considered canon once it goes off air. I can see how the sun is the best option for repowering a ship, I just think the idea of driving it into a star literally is overdone. That the shields on a ship thats falling apart is capable of withstanding the abuse of a star. And the ship solving all the problems so the crew can bitch and moan soon as a problem arises is starting to get really old really fast.</p
................................ok [e digicons]>_>[/e]
I think Distant Stars is gonna be my first Mod, Im starting to get tired of the Supply Cap.
actually if you select say 10 (just an example you can select more and do the same thing) and then click on a particular Capital or another ship in the Fleet, those ships will follow and "guard" that ship. Found this out when I had sent my fleet to a particular GW and realized ten minutes later they were half way across the map just jumping GW to GW without me telling them to. Come to find out I had actually selected a Tradeship that was jumping out of the original GW that I had order
wow what mod are you using? Im guessing the Fleet Cap has been reworked.
How many Capitals do you have? looks to be way more then 16.
their not trying to win a war? they started this whole fiasco, although the TEC do owe the Vasari their thanks as They might not have been able to pull together a military response to the Advent had it not been for the Vasari striking first. Theres a hell of alot of space out there, if the Vasari just wants to get through so they can continue running, they should have just realized instead of conquering the Terrans and starting a war between the two they should have just either ran through he
Commodore Koerner enters the debate. "The Advent are nothing more then a bully on the short bus. Brute force that can crush a kid one on one, but even he cant stand against everyone on the bus at once." Really the Advent are like the Confederates, their deadly when you pit them in a battle but there isnt enough of them to take on the overwhelming numbers of the TEC eventually they will lose very large numbers of essential personel. When it comes to war of attrition, the side t
If its a small map, expand fast and do your best to intercept the enemy as early as possible its imperative that you atleast cripple him early on. That way you can get your actual Offensive Fleet on a standing leg and hold your own. If its a medium to large map, its usually best to turtle out. Absorb a good amount of planets into your canopy and then build up defenses on your frontline worlds. Once you have a good defensive net to atleast slow your enemy down and stall them til your f
