I commuted to work 10 miles one way in a car that got 30 plus miles per gallon my whole life. I stopped at the grocery store on the way home to not waste a trip. I drove 30 miles average in the car on the weekend and rode a motorcycle on the week end that got 35 to 50 miles to the gallon. Average motorcycle ride per week end 110 miles.
