Still, now I'm reduced to the gentle pleasures of a nice cuppa tea, I'll reach for the biscuits and await another cracking joke. [all of the above]

If a cricket chirps in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Philosophically speaking, I would say yes. If its hearing receptors receive a signal of sufficient amplitude to trigger self-awareness of its own chirp, eh?
Just tried it. Worked fine.
Happy Birthday, old man! Many more!!

Thanks, Brad. I'll have to look at this closer. I've been using the last Yahoo! Widget Engine for perhaps six mos. or so, with the Ticker-Tape RSS Reader I found there, set to display the WC Forums' RSS feeds. It's been so reliable I don't now know what I'd do without it. When running, it does indeed demand a lot of CPU/RAM. I much prefer our local style of DX widgets and would rather support "local" artisans whenever possible, but there is a lot to be said for the whole Yahoo! Widget enterp
Great to see a bump on this thread, elvee! I DLed all I could find that would work with my current apps, had to do an hour's worth of tweaking and gnarling around first, but got the DX to run(sort of) on DX3, the blind on my WB5 and 1280 X 1024 Samsung. Soon as I shut down and restarted the next day, tho, it was again a bit crumbly round the edges. Been looking forward to the re-up of this collection to 2007 specs. Very expectant. ... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/W

Charlies ouch!
Just kidding...used to consume a whole package of her frozen brownies immediately after school now and then. This tale may be even better than the first one. More, please.
Sara Lee Who's she?
Fairyy~, Thanks!! Will try your tip. Your explanation was much more direct than mine. Cheers
I gotta find an older version of it. Might be one on rainy's site. The new one is pretty buggy for me also. I may quit using Rainlendar2 and just go back to the old one. I like the "alarm" prompts that popup when I set them for events. Depend on 'em, for that matter. Basically the method above is it. They're not self-installing, the themes, so I have a desktop file, "My Downloads". Inside are folders, one of them being "R
Man, I saw the title on my desktop, via scrolling Yahoo RSS widget just now...it just said: Saying See Ya Later ... My first thought was "aw, shit, who can that be?!" Find out it's you . ... O.K., so, whatever, you. are. not. leaving . I'm calling bullshit on the whole thing. Do what you've gotta do. Rest. Heal. JuJu, acupuncture, crystals, sinsemilla, vacation to Amste
