With the proposed system, you can set a static loot and other people will be able to randomize the loot to the extent they like. This is o
Absolutely agree. The actual program is very simple and just mods the Prefs.ini file to change the opponent order. However, it is something that I always use so I thought I'd offer it up if others are interested. Currently has a cap of 10 opponents, but I see no reason I couldn't add more if you have custom factions/sovereigns.
I understand you are saying y

Wow, thanks for the research you put into this. Reading this thread has me really excited to mod FE. A quick question...Has anyone tried modding the size of the models to create new creatures? The tags were there in WOM, but they didn't do anything IIRC. I will see if the tags are still there and try it if they are this evening if no one has looked/tried it yet.

The 3 posts above saying the same thing in three different ways are absolutely correct [e digicons]:digichet:[/e] . I should have stated that when I posted! Just for fun, here is a screenshot of Charisma back in game as a visible stat. Eventually, I would like to mod in charisma based songs as spells for a "Path of the bard". This took a rebuild of the data.zip (Don't panic, I saved the original) and the stat had to be added to the custom sovere

It was said that this beta disables modding. I think maybe just the in game tools are disabled. I snooped around the xml and it looks like business as usual in the documents folder and in the data\english folder. I was able to make a custom faction and play it in game. So I think you can mod right now, you just don't have access to the in game modding tools.

Great post. I came to the forum hoping by some slight possibility the beta would be released as a Christmas present [e digicons]:-"[/e] . Only thing I would nitpick is the food resource being called "grain". Will we get "grain" from wild animals and such since it is the only resource that provides food?
We intend to have vastly more modding abilities in than any game we’ve ever made. Actually, this is more close to a promise because the game is almost exclusively XML driven because of the project management system (coders don’t implement game design, the producers do and it’s XML driven via spread sheets and such). The AI makes heavy use of this.
Music to my eyes.

Not trying to stir trouble, just curious what the AI got wrong that caused such a drastic change in the picture so quickly.
Kantok, I bet their bar dipped when the real fighting started. My guess is the AI probably builds and researches fine, but it could no

Often, the very first thing I will do is sell my horse to make the game more interesting. I like holding the line with my solders after they have been upgraded a few levels. I also like to level peasant women up to sword sister status. It's the little things in the game that amuse me [e digicons]XD[/e] .

I was tempted to get the game simply because I love the books. But after seeing The Wall made of stone in the concept art and screenshots, the bad reviews, and now your review, I will wait until it is 2.99 on steam, impulse or GOG.

DSRaider, Apparently I am misunderstanding the conversation. I thought the gist of the thread was concerning city uniqueness, not building spam. What would you have the cities do after constructing the available buildings in a more limited system? P.S. I may still be misreading you, I had a hard time understanding what your first paragraph is about, maybe I need to get some coffee.
