lol that's like the most annoying thing ever :P plow through someone and knock them out of a lane.. then their friend comes in.. you send him packing.. then you just want to work on the tower.. but noooo the first guy ports back right when you get the tower to like 400 and you just want to use the last of your mana to finish it but you can't. And you either die tryin or run back home :( Anyway.. ya I haven't tried it out yet but I'm glad it's working better

I would rather play normal settings and use appropriate demigods so there is a nice amount of action throughout the game. A little back and forth early on with the threat of being run down / ganked. A little strategy with killing a tower early if your enemy messes up a little or doesn't have a perfect strat to stop it. Use that to gradually move you into late game hectic battles. So.. not "no action 20-30 minutes then BAM full action" but "a little action here, a litti

It depends on what time of day you want to play as well. Typically, between 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. CST there are very, very few people playing. Also, I would highly suggest hosting your own games or joining games that specifically say "noobs only" in the title.
