one thing i dislike is the Metro screen, not for it's look or it's functionality, but that it gets slapped in my face when i lanuch an application. you know, in Windows 7 i hit the WIN key, type some letters and hit ENTER. most of the time i do not even look at the menu. sure the typing can be done in Windows 8 as well, but why does it insist to show me that Metro screen, when there is no need to see it. if at least they would have created a monochromatic icon set to go with t

LS on Windows 7 has it's flaws. some of the standard tray icons won't update as they should and some mdi apps would display multiple task tiles (which could actually be welcome for some). Windows 8 is not that much different from Windows 7. you'd need to do some research on how replacing the shell although the method probably did not change. you might be interested in this: http://forums.litestep.info/viewt

for the Australians: if those Aussie ski bums here aren't talking complete bullshit: your consumer rights require the carriers to unlock post-paid phones at any time you wish. some ask for a fee, some don't. here in Austria unlocking any phone by any method is perfectly legal. and in Israel selling locked phones is illegal :D
