the high contrast themes are Windows 8 without any visual style applied. you can change the colors. you will probably still be disappointed.
Actually those high contrast themes can be made to look good if you spend a little time with them. Here is 2 that I did a couple years back. <img src="http://img54

What version of Windowblinds Uvah because I do not have that in WindowBlinds 8.01 (020 - Windows 8 Edition) - 64 bit OS
I have done updates. It is still working fine for me.
Guys you are welcome, glad it is working for you. I still must stress to use at own risk. I took a risk and installed it and it has been fine but if after reading "use at own risk" you install it and find it causes some unwanted changes don't come after me with a pitchfork. I can not guarantee how this will behave with everyone's system. Best advice I can give if you want to install it is to create a restore point first.
All I can say Uvah is that it has not gave me any problems and I have been using it for a few days. I would not have posted it if I thought it was not safe. Also it was made for Windows 8.1 but I am actually using it on 8.
Ok I stumbled upon this accidently but it seems as though I may have found the solution for Some Windowblinds compatibility issues. First I must say that more testing should be done to make sure this is a workaround without issues but I have tested it and so far it has worked for me without causing any problems to my OS. I had noticed that when applying some of the older Windowblinds skins made for Windows 7 that there would be several issues. One issue would be that the start menu ri
Upskirt! Nice screenie JC.
Thanks Pal. I am tickled that I was able to think of a cheeky name, at least I am sure the Monroe fans would think it was cheeky.
No PM for me but that is OK. I still enjoy seeing what I can come up with. Here is one with a wallpaper I get a kick out of. I give to you Norman Jean, lol
benmanns I agree with a lot of what you wrote. However I want to make it clear that I am not against a "usable blind". If someone wants to bay a few bucks for that style I do not have a problem with it. I also am not saying that skinners that make that style are not creative, I believe they are but for me creativity shines through blinds that are not boxed shape because those skinners are thinking outside of the box. You made references to skinners which I agree have made blinds that exude cr
"How this evolved into a contest thread is moot" Doortech this hardly evolved into a contest thread. It was a couple of people (me being one of them) who made a simple and short suggestion that has taken up a few lines. I have no power to dictate how this thread progresses and I even have mixed feelings about a contest however if you read Toms reply in post 18 you will see he himself is ok with getting off topic even though I do not believe we have. It all has to do wit
Where have all the Windowblinds Master Skinners gone? When I just looked I believe the above is the name of this thread. All the Masters are deserving of the title but it doesn't change the fact that some are active but don't skin anymore for their own reason which I respect. To busy, ran out of ideas, just don't feel like skinning anymore, or whatever. To have a contest of just Masters is fine but their needs to
"I'm hoping Microsoft doesn't get its hands on it." I second that. They will find a way to screw it up if they do get their hands on it.
A suggestion. Why not a contest of Masters past and present. I don't know what kind of prize could be offered but the idea sounds good. Or...a collaboration among them. You can call it "A Master Suite"
How about getting suggestions from members for a nice blind or suite, the member who's idea is chosen gets some sort of prize and the master who's skin which is chosen gets a prize also. Just an idea off the top

Syd I would love to have your version of that wallpaper, my photoshop skills are not as good as yours. [e digicons]:([/e]
My vote goes to Syd. Don't worry Jim, I got your back too.
OK I am going to add my 2 cents worth and I am pretty sure it will piss some people off. With regards to master Windowblinds skins I have purchased some in the past and I even have a few of yours Tom. I know that there is a lot of time put into these skins but to be honest (and this is just my opinion) most are very similar at least in design. Yes colors may change with slight variances with start button graphics and so on but for the most part you have a square start menu and recta
I don't even see the extras as bloatware but simply addons that give the player more flexibility and function. That stuff serves a purpose. If you cannot figure it out or simply want some basic player then by all means stick with xion (nothing against it)
I keep hearing about all this bloatware being a problem but no one can seem to explain exactly what issue or issues it creates or if in fact it is even bloatware. Someone said their songs open slow which I think is not true at all. Second you do not need to load plugins, visualizations or extras such as EQ, playlist, lyrics list and so on. That is what the check boxes are for. If boatware is the only issue winamp has I will be happy to take the bloatware any day.
Did you say 8.1 Jim? lol
Do you click under your comments after writing them and then add the picture? I have to always make sure I click in the comment box under my comment before adding the picture or else the picture will be above.
Nice looking shots everyone
I prefer Coke over Pepsi anyway. Very not bad JC.
BTW: You forgot the rum.

I guess "Very not bad" means Very pretty good, lol and no I did not forget the rum, it I behind the start menu hiding. With my van in the picture I did not people to accuse me of drinking and driving.
This is an update to the previous shot. It is amazing what you can do with textures. All this was done with the Win 8 blind.
Looks awesome, Ken!
Thanks a lot Jim. All the shots are nice. I would not want to have to choose.
