TBH it would have bothered me once, but I don't go planet-gazing anymore. I'm at the point where I don't have time to just gaze at the urban planet's lights turning on and off as it rotates.

To above: I think this was also discussed earlier, something to do with broken icon and textures. I personally get Desert Planets with great big oil slicks at the poles. Looks like some kind of ecological disaster, or like they've removed the sand or something (somehow). I like it personally. Just realised that my last post's opening was rather rude. That was unintentional, my apologies. I do like the TEC flagship's abilities early game. Shared shields, missile bursts, the works! Fun times indeed.
