It's a strange thing looking at military prospects in those two plans though. I'd be expected to be an officer in the British Army, seeing as I should be getting top grades across the board at secondary school, and am expected to go to an Oxford standard Uni. However, if I stayed in the US after Uni (with a green card of course), then I would join the US army as a private. I know I'd be able to get my citizenship through that route, but what would happen then? If one is su
So, Limey, you are/were in the military?
Everybody has this conception that I'm in the army! Why!?! First off, I'm 15, so banned because I couldn't possibly be legally in most Western armies. Anyway, this conception appears to stem from my many exploits in the Combined Cadet Force which I attend. This is an organisation sort-of like scouts, but more military. For instance, we learn weapons drills, l

First off, I've read all of your fanfic, and can only say... Please write more :) Anyway, Plan One: Go to University, probably in Britain or the US, get a degree, join British Army as an Officer and proceed from there. Plan Two: Go to University, probably in the US, get my degree, join US Army (as an enlisted, seeing as I won't have citizenship) and proceed from there. Yeah. That's it. And yes, I know I've bu

Banned because the first thing you ever said to me, rather than typed, was, I believe, "gay." But unless you just find the accent amusing, then no, don't expect us all to be funny. I'm just hugely cynical/very sarcastic/really irritating/a complete prick/all of the above, and therefore, depending on your outlook, am funny.

Thought I'd lost you when that sniper took a shot at you." "What?" "Those helmets work like a charm. You're one lucky man. But enough of that. Good work with the pulse cannon. I have to say, I couldn&#3

Right... what now? Don't even know if it's a weapon, never mind where it fired from. Could sprint it, might make it if it takes a while to sight up, if it's even still here... Shit! Why couldn't Teldin just leave with the others, or get killed or something? Got to go after him though. It's that or stay here and wait until somebody finds me. That'll look good... Advent soldier, complete with plasma rifle and armour that looks like something out of a videogame. At least
I can't really describe just what gave me that feeling, but it seemed to me that the show's bent was oriented around deriding American combatants in the Korean theater. Also, Oatesy, have you checked my 40K-ST crossover that I published? (links further up on the page)
Hmm... You're strange... :P Not yet, I was going to but the link was broken, and I haven't tried it since then.
