Microsofts attempt at adopting the iPhone/iPad user experience just doesn't work on a desktop/Laptop environment. These are very distinct & seperate platforms. This latest attempt at gene splicing on it's face has the appearance that Microsoft is trying to corner the market on the user experience at the expense of Apple. First indications are that it is a total fail. Greed can sometimes cloud one's creative inGenuity IMHO.

Actually, I have the new driver update. When I install new drivers for Nvidia, I opt for the clean install. This removes the old drivers before the new one is installed, thus eliminating the issue of driver conflict or incompatability glitches. The new driver seems to be working fantastic for me so far. I have not experienced any problems and it seems that actually I'm getting much better performance. It's only been 1 day so far, but things still seem g

Thanks Uvah for your suggestions and feedback. I think you are absolutely right about everything you said. I think maybe that's why I was so undecided about which way to go with this ,cuz I was fresh out of inspiration, but I think you got me pointed in the right direction this time and my mind is starting to click now. Thanks so much bro !!! [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e] --Ace --

I have found that I'm having some funtionality issues with one of my most used graphic software program called IcoFX. It seems that a few of the windowblinds that I have used, don't let me expand the work palette in several directions. I do not know if this is a problem specific to windowblinds in conflict with this software or if it is just the way a few of the blinds were put together. Below is a screen s

Something I've been kicking around. At this point I'm not sure if I want to persue it. I guess this is a good place to get some feedback. I'm sitting on the fence with this one. It's called "Eye of Sett" <img src="http://themeworxmedia.com/pix/images/AceMatr

This is an image taken from the IconPackage "Pale Leather" that I'm currently working on. I was so stunned by the matching color schemes, I just had to jump in here and show you a screeny from one of the disk drive icons. -- Ace --

That Win8 screen has got to be the ugliest thing I've seen since Win95 !! For one thing, I don't like "flat". Even my iPhone has a better looking screen than Win8, and that's saying a lot. I certainly hope that the UI's can be skinned throughout or You will never see that ghastly thing on my computer. -- Ace --

I also tried every single variation I could to reproduce the issue that Frankief is having , and I couldn't. It has to be something to do with how it is being saved I'm sure. I haven't found an image yet that I could not manipulate to make it do what I want , with the exception of some resizing adjustment issues I've had that vary across different software platforms, but other than that, this one has got me stumped. &
No, I am saving from Photoshop as a transparent PNG and it shows transparent in icon developer but when I save the icon it saves with a black background. I can open the same png in Photoshop and save as an icon and the background is transparent.
Questions??? I have been making icons for my own personal use via the ico plugin for Photoshop. If I wanted to make them to distribute, how would I go about it? Whenever I try to save icons through icon developer, even though the png is on a transparent background, it always shows up with a black background.
The black background is an indication that it is being saved as a .BMP image. PNG images have an inherently tran

This is a small sample of what I've completed so far. It's called "Pale Leather" - hope you like. -- Ace -- note: it looks better if you click on it to enlarge. I don't have the formatting completed on them yet. <img src="http://themeworxmedia.com/pix/images/AceMatrix/iconscapture.png" alt="Icon Screenshot" width="1098" height="618"
