I am really struggling with the management of trade in the latest version of this game. With so many trade routes potentially available, it's very difficult to keep track of where to assign new routes as you can't sort the trade spreadsheet. If I click on a new freighter, why don't the existing trade routes appear on the map? I have to click on the planet of origin to see the trade routes, and even then they are not very obvious. Is the trade function still in development

My economy is being overwhelmed by all of these ships I am salvaging. But there is no button to decommission a ship from the main screen. I have to double-click on the ship to find the decommission button. Can we insert a button so when I right-click on the ship I will see a decommission button?

I have always wondered why research in 4X games has followed a linear path, where you can only research one tech at a time. Paradox has done this differently with their games, like Hearts of Iron and Crusader Kings, where you can allot points to different research streams. This would allow the player to add or take away points based on their desire to emphasize or de-emphasize a certain tech. Have the developers of GalCivIV considered this option? Would the players of this game like to see th

It looks like you can't build a space station without techapods. It is also the most rare material in the universe. You'd think the engineers would have found a more plentiful material to build space stations with by now.

I finally researched medium sized hulls and it took 557 turns to get there. Is this the typical experience for anyone else? It's taken just as long to get to planetary invasion. Without it you can't take core worlds, leading to a much different game than any I ever played of GalCiv III. I'm still deciding if I prefer it this way or not.
