Using CursorXP uses more CPU than not using it on my machine. It just seems to add a certain 'jerkiness' to some of the apps I use regularly. I'm running a 2 gig Athlon, so I don't think a slow computer is the problem. It's pretty, but not worth the performance hit, imo. I rely on the little pop-up hint thingies a lot (especially when I'm using CAD), and the cursors that are big enough to look really sweet seem to cover them up, for some reason. How about have the option to specify different window borders for maximized windows, non-maximized windows, and MDI windows? If any of you have seen my Gold-n-Onyx WB skin, you'll notice that I like to do strange things with skins. Sometimes a border that works fine for maximized windows isn't appropriate for non-maximized and MDI windows.

I don't use CursorXP anymore. I've noticed that that CPU usage makes a jump when I move the cursor while using it. Enough that it slows down other programs (such as PowerDVD).

I had Norton Systemworks 2001, and it had the bad habit of trashing my computer to the point of unusability. Don't know if the newer version are any better. Phoon's method is the best, have a 40-60 gig HD for your operating system and so forth, and a nice BIG one for any updates and software you upload (preferably backing them up to CD...just in case).
