"I also believe that he would rip the arm off anyone he saw burning a flag. He was patriotic." -KarmaGirl Depends on how it's burned... I've been to a few flag burning ceremonies sponsored by the VFW for retiring old flags.

KarmaGirl: Yup... I'm routinely impressed by people who risk life and limb for others... I'm not brave enough to do it for others =/
mm.... gouda....
"I would hope people understand that releasing information before hand can be a double edged sword." -Green Armani I always wondered where some of the info comes from too.... Like all those news braodcasts that tell where our troops are... they always seem like such a stupid thing to do... I mean, I like knowing where they are, but I think our enemy likes knowing much more than me...
Rusty: Given how things keep going, my stance is very likely to change.... Regardless of my believes though, I will support the US completely if we do go to war (less that 24 hours to go, right?). I may not agree with the by then, but I do think that in the long run, America is in the right, and will do what is needed. I can't stop supporting because I disagree on something... I support because I belive in the legitimacy of our system; I voted, so I agreeed to abide by the
"...US is damned if it does and damned if it doesn't. Something is not right here." - Green Armani Yeah, that's prolly right. I don't think we have the right to go in, but there is a tug at my conscionse (sp, Jafo?) that tells me we should do something. As to what I'm not sure, and I don't want to make a rash decision like war. As to a good solution, I don't have one still.
drat... I'm a slow typer.... I knew the oil one too... This conflict isn't just about oil, but I think that is a part of it. We also get lots of oil from Mexico...
1) On the other side, prove he does have weapons and is not disarming them. 2) Many nations aren't stable, we can't just replace the govermnet in those that aren't. Argentina has been far from stable for a long time and we haven't messed with it. Peru had a huge change of government about a year and are now giving the IMF a big ol' FU. We haven't done anything there. 3) K... I'm not touching that one other than see #2... On this one, I feel a regime change should be made, b
ah, my bad. I agree Saddam is not a good person, and his regime is wholly inappropriate, and he should not be in power. I disagree that the US should be the one to do it since we have little support from contries in the area (since it is their turf (for lack of a beter word), and not in our locale). Granted, we depend on the oil from Iraq and other countries there, so we have some times, but it's the same as me going and stealing from someone across town because he stole from
I'll still support. I hate the war, and I don't think we should be going, but it's not my choice. IMO, America is in the wrong just as much as Saddam. On the bright side, this will at least end the whole standoff we've been having, and that may be worth it.
yeah, that really sucks.... I'm all for France supporting the US, but ultimatly it's their choice not to, and I can't really fault them for not wanting a war in their back yard. The thing I can't stand are the American's who over-react and make everything bad like the person you mentioned c242... All that "If you don't support America then go to Iraq" crap gets old really fast. I'm American, I have been for years, and my family for generations. I love America, but I don't al
Hell Dragon: I hadn't personally run across any mp3s infected, but I do understand that programs can run malicious code (otherwise script-viruses wouldn't do anything). I REALLY wanna find one of those infected MP3s now... I wanna see how it's done But that's a flaw in winamp (if I understand you correctly), and people that don't run it wouldn't have problems? As a favor, does anyone ha
my CD Store doesn't let me listen.... Kazaa does... I refuse to give up Kazaa simple because some people use it illegally... I buy the CDs I like, I trash the MP3s I don't want enough to buy. --BEGIN SARCASM-- But Paxx.... you're right, Kazaa is just evil... it lets people share stuff... lets ban mIRC too... wtf... lets also shut down Xerox... I've seen too many of my fellow students copying copyrighted info (and complete textbooks). They should all goto hell <img src="
any exes you download could very well have a virus... it's a risk people will take for a free program.... I've never had a real problem with a virus... nothing McAfee couldn't take care of...
if that's the case, then it would seem that they had a virus before kazaa. Viruses by most definitions have to be self-replicating. They can do that in anything that is executed by the system (I've seen perl, vbscript, c/c++, visual basic viruses with frequency). Data is not usually handled by the OS and with the exception of script-based viruses (like the Melissa virus), data can't actually be a virus, it's handled by a diffenent program (which may be infected). MP3/AVI viru
one quick question... how the hell do you get a virus from a video file???? I've seen plenty coat-tailing on executables and plenty of hoaxes about viruses in mp3s... but I've yet to see viruses in things other than executables (like exes, scripts, etc...).
I've used Kazaa 2 years... I also use Shareaza (for like 4 months...), mIRC before that and Napster for a little while... total virus count: 0 total hacker problems: 0 finding stuff I'd have never found elsewhere: priceless. p2p: With great power comes great responsibility.
I've done eurodance and come up with some nice results on Kazaa.... it's lead me to one of my favorite artists E-Type (a swedish group) Other great artists Kazaa has lead me to: Red Flag, Blumchen, Chris Issak, Monaco, Warsaw, Drunk Injuns... Others too... those are the ones that come to my mind... Looking at those, most were found by searching for: ' cover' most of the aforementioned artists did covers of artists I do know.
mp3.com is nothing like Kazaa.... mp3.com lista artists who want to be listed there for free (artists must OPT-IN). Kazaa is not that way. Kazaa lets you search by genre (they call it category) however. Here's a wha-if... I HATE mp3.com. but, I LOVE 303 Infinity (used to be mp3.com's poster-child and best grosser, maybe still?). I find out about them on mp3.com listen to a track or two. Noticed nearly all their tracks are free to download. can't get by the crappy speed on mp3.

I liked Twilight Zone better...
Is it just me, or are other people getitng ads from WC that are not nice... I get one every once in a while that opens a full-screen page and asks to install some plugin... of course, saying no closes it, but it's really quite annoying.... I think it might be wincustomize because I don't have any other windows open (well... winamps running... but it always is) and This happens on my work computer too when I browse WC... anyone s=else have this happen (it's not very fre
