Actually I think there is this scam artist who goes around FE territory hawking these surplus leather greaves. He always tells a fancy tale of how they came into his possession but in the end he's just trying to pawn them on some unsuspecting fellow. "Athican leather" he will say, hand made and of the finest quality. Even Altar himself wears these same leather greaves. You would be amiss not to buy them, and why just one pair. Think about your mom, your dad, cousin vinny, they could all u

While I understand that having negative research is upsetting, TBH its not a big deal. You are just seeing that 10% bonus push you over the edge by -0.3 research per turn. They could cap research at zero or they could make the bonuses take the absolute value so you would have +0.3/turn instead. I use both of the 10% research bonus traits and they work wonderful, if you are actually producing research. If you destroy your

I think you should actually watch the AI play before making too many complaints. I saw that it took 200 turns for the AI to go to war and 300 turns for the AI to kill off the first player. I think that the problem is the faction power is not accurate enough since it tends to underestimate human performance. However, I never have trouble staying above the AI. The AI does spam pioneers, but it doesn't really spam cities. The first pioneer always makes an outpost nearb

I am currently playing a game where I removed myself from the equation and just watching the AI with the map revealed. I am looking to see if I can predict who will win based off starting locations, or if it comes down to differences in the AI personalities or something. Okay. So far it seems like the starting location does play a part in the success of an empire, but not that big. I think that being sandwiched between two enemies is really bad and having territory on t

Yeah that makes sense. I wonder if they even look at rivers and trees when creating cities. Here are two more screenshots. The first one shows that the AI sucks at placing outposts. They need to try to get more resources in the zone of influence... they spent the first 14 turns of the game building a pioneer to capture an iron deposit? They could have made a city instead if they scouted more but at least get the gold mine too. <a title="https://ww

Hey there. So I played my first game of patch 0.95 and I noticed that 2 of the 4 AI opponents did not ever build a city. In order to track down this bug I decided to play a game with the map revealed and see if it happened again. The settings I used for both games are: Climate: Balanced Size: Medium Difficulty: Challenging Monsters: Normal Pacing: Fast Magic: Normal Resources: Normal Basically a standard game all aroun

You right click to delete the sovereign, but you can't do this for custom factions. To delete those, as well as unit designs you can go into your Documents\My Games\Fallen Enchantress folder and there should be folders called Units and Race which you can empty out.

First of all I'm not sure what auto-combat is... do you mean the "Auto Play" button next to auto-resolve in combat? And I wanted to confirm that this bug does not require the enemy to be an AI player, I have had it while being attacked by monsters. https://www.dropbox.com

This new version is really good. Many of the balance issues have been solved regarding cities and the tech tree. The essence system is really nice, it also makes Enchanters must have pick for me. My main complaint is that its much more rare to get decent magic items and I never saw a really powerful one, even while killing the strongest monsters in the game. You really need to fix this since it ruins the adventuring part of the game for me, though I agree that the previous sy

I am fine with the pacing in Elemental though I do set the research pacing to fast during world generation. I like exploring and killing monster lairs, you do feel a bit constrained at the start but it doesn't bother me. I do think that giving you a simple scout unit to start with like other games do would be a nice help. Maybe give each sovereign a familiar they can summon that has 0 upkeep and terrible combat stats. I have suggested before that like in Master of Orion you can

Currently your first city can be really strong if you connect all the resources to it... I don't even make more than one city in my games. They NEED to make multiple cities worth it, and that means making your first city not be more powerful than the rest. Even with this new system, I could imagine only creating 3 cities. We already have 1 per faction buildings which let you create 1 super city if you want. I could also see a certain faction, such as Magnar, having
