but when i got the DesktopX objects files(usually they're .zip files,and there're .ini, .png, bmp files in it),how can i install them? Assuming you have the DesktopX program installed. Rename the DX Objects download file extension from xxx.zip to xxx.dxpack. Double click the renamed file.

http://www.actualtools.com/transparentwindow/ Actual Transparent Window has option to set transparency only when window becomes inactive. And when you activate this window it becomes non-transparent again. I have no idea how well this works, but there's a 60 day trial...

I just tested this, appling the skin via WB Config, and then loading the same skin in SkinStudio, and using the Apply skin button. Both methods took about 15 seconds. Maybe there's a problem with the skin you're working on, that is causing the lag...

Just hit "PrtSc" on your keyboard to take the screenshot with the Start Menu open, go to Microsoft Paint or your favorite Image Editing program, and hit CTRL + V on your keyboard. I know - usually its either zip or rar compression..I cant open rar I don't know what formats WinZip can handle, but there are several free apps available that can handle pretty much all the compression formats. ZipCentral, IZArc, ZipGenius, to name a few....

when I hit the "Refresh Skin button" in SkinStudio. I don't have a Refresh Skin button. I have Reload Preview.... that takes only a second. There's the Apply the skin button, but that's no different than loading a skin from WindowBlinds Configuration.

I was in a hurry earlier, I'll try to explain what I learned..... When I first imported the Saxon msstyle, I left the setting on autodetect the best format, and the skin was imported as a UIS1 skin. UIS1 skins don't have all the features of UIS2 skins, and the menubar is one of the areas that are different. By choosing optimize for maximum quality, I got the UIS2 format, and viola!

I understand now..... when you import the msstyle, click the Options button > Parameters tab > select "WindowBlinds Visual Style - optimize for maximum quality"

With some skins however, in skin studio I can click on the menu bar and the menubar button area and nothing happens. I cannot find anywhere to skin the bar or the buttons Controls > Menus > Bar Background & Bar items.

I think all dock programs do use png. They can also be used with DX and IconX. They are multi use not just for docks, so maybe a section for png icons that reflects the flexibility of them. That's a very good point.
