no charging station.....straight into the 'puter... lasts for ages...
but does it only charge when the computer is switched on, or does it also do its thing whilst it's off but connected to the mains? (unlikely as it would be) for the mouse with something that sounds similar, it looks like it has a plug to mains to charge htt

interesting.. think the edge does things i don't need (vol control, for example) and i sort of like number pads (and a bit steep too...) XD k800 probably best bet if i change mouse too. something to think about. of course... just need to find a pile of gold or rob a bank.... thing about keyboards is that i don't need all those "internet" buttons or extras. just need something solid and hassle free (ie.. cordless, etc) the c
that sounds a bit like the problems i read in their forum.... guess i better wait a few years till they optimise the way it would work. thanks!
has anyone tried one of those? k750. tempted by the solar bit as flipping batteries is a bit of a pain. but not certain how reliable the recharging business is.
it'll be september, just to spite that site. XD
you know, i'm rather mystified why for casual users, it has to disable secure boot, as opposed to making it also work with certain brands of linux, or making linux work with it.
which is why i think it's the breadth of manga genre and target audience, thus the availability to be picked to fill gaps in genres in the west, rather than western comics being more sexist. that said, what is the main audience of western comics? male adults? you can hardly compare sailor moon to superman, for example.. not that i've actually read sailor moon, which is probably more comparable with disney type cartoons,... nor do i read western comics to be dead honest.
A lack of misogyny is why anime had its big boom in the 90s, largely at the expense of comic books. which have done a damn fine job of making sure half the population will never have much interest in their work.
lost me there. manga are stereotypically divided into boy/man and woman/girl audiences (that's not to say the other gender don't read them!)... latter is more akin to mills and boons, chick lit, whatever
.... dos prompt? XD stuff the selected ones into a folder and off you go? ---- i like faststone. but hate the fact that it can't do unicode filenames/paths
this is a bit weird.. i replaced my power supply a few months ago (the people checking it said the power supply was dead... as opposed to switch or motherboard)... and now sometimes hitting the power on switch does nothing. (twice? so far?) wonder if i simply didn't hit it properly or what, as a 2nd hit boots up just fine.
is that an axe or some weird miniature warhammer?
... you employ kids? blimey
I understand it's turnbased with realtime battles. Is it realtime like Dawn of War & StarCraft or realtime with pause like Knights of the Old Republic? Do you build buildings that generate money, research and production like Master of Magic and GalCiv II ? Are there skill involved in the battles? Is it like StarCraft II (positioning and being fast), Dawn of War II (using cover'n'counters) or perhaps Ag
surely it's to stop resale rather than piracy. though it's basically the same thing according to the publishers
Quoting alaknebs, reply 31so, basically antivirus rescue disks are toast? don't need to be an enthusiast to use those surely? I don't know that for a fact. Perhaps W8 makes it's own Rescue disk or system clone? If you're curious, ask MS re the OEM... From Windows 8 Forum (about the preview w8): http://www.forumswindows8.com/system-security/windows-8-recovery-disc-374.htm
so, basically antivirus rescue disks are toast? don't need to be an enthusiast to use those surely?
when it says it won't boot.. what does that mean? it won't boot another os from the hdd? or it won't boot from anything like different hdd, usb or cd/dvd? because there are things like linux based antivirus cd/dvd... does that mean they won't work? mind you.. first read this like a month or 2 ago..
how would it work or how would i find out which one is allowed?
um... is it possible to move games from impulse to steam? i mean, i only have the 2 on impulse... sots:ce and ewom. whereas i have a few (not many!) more over in steam. since e:fe (or at least the beta?) might be had from the new stardock central thing which means no need for impulse, i'm hoping ewom can be done via that too... which leave sots:ce on impulse only. basically boils down to, having 1 account is better than 2, 2 better tha

not exactly sure why you want a big galaxy. 1 system is just the same as another really. next time i try with beams and not cannons, i'll just use the smallest one around. i didn't even bother with half the worlds out there.
wouldn't be surprised to see some fe stuff in wom at a later date if fe works out. that is if those things fit in with wom. stuff like champs from quests or some such for example... think i saw fb mention that
taikourissiden from koei (series) not really ground breaking or anything like that per se.. just memorable... it's a mix of rpg/strategy. basically you control a samurai and work your way to the top by fulfilling tasks every month. it got broader in the later entries, but can't say i liked those minigames that represents learning talents. (or for that matter performing certain actions) core concept has lots of potential.
Quoting greggbert, reply 8I want a kracken mount. Actually having 2 fully water-based races would be really cool, like they did in Alpha Centauri. Real men ride dolphins to war!
then you terraform their water into land (or volcano) and kill them all?
... sea combat... does it even exist? just imagine.. you have 1 ship and then you have another ship... do they shoot stuff from far away? do they board each other? do they board each other with the troops carried inside?
