Battlecry causes all your units to take an immediate turn. If you plan ahead, you can actually chain this, so that as the chain ends, the next mage with Battlecry casts it, causing the chain to restart. And then yo

Yea, this one is kinda funny. I'll probably skip that one. The devs have said that it's a totally optional DLC and just for fun and isn't counted toward the total number they said they would release. I guess they have a couple more in the pipeline.
The game still has a few bugs--no killers--and requires some balance, as well as more player control over random setup conditions. However, it's very enjoyable, with lots of faction differentiation, some good spells, quests, plenty of distinct enemies, and replayability. I strongly recommend it.
I understand that the guys at Stardock are programmers and not gamers...
Everything else aside, you probably should consider separating your opinions about the game, from facts about the game, and both from facts about the developers--whom you don't know. I interviewed Brad a couple of times, for articles--and during the first one, he told me about how he missed his firstborn's birth because he was too preoccupied playi

I don't agree with nearly anything the OP says, but he's reasonable, and seems to base his conclusions upon observations that are true to his own preferences and experiences. I can't argue with that.

RedeemerAZ , FE has a lot more randomized variation in setup conditions than any other TBS game I know. Some people love this. Others hate it. Personally, I'd like to see more control of it given over to players on an advanced map configuration screen, but as it stands, what you see is what you get.

If so, I've never seen it, but I have seen AI unit stacks that included champions whose injuries made them look like crash dummies in a seatbelt commercial after their cars were totaled.
Bows suck. They do. The main reason is their low damage. Although a bow can be useful earlygame against bandits and darklings, all it takes is a suit of leather armour and a wooden shield to make bows virtually worthless. it feels like they're affected more strongly by defense, than other types of weapons. The tarth do have a bow with armour penetration, but it's right at the far end of the tech tree, which i feel is pointless. I think ALL bows need some amount o

I'm not sure I understand how that is cheating, unless there's some aspect of it you haven't mentioned.

It's far easier to review action, arcade, RTS, FPS, even RPGs, then to get a real feel for the mechanics and longterm play of something like FE. Not to mention that most gamers aren't interested in TBS games. That's not to say FE shouldn't be reviewed. Only that many sites won't.

I've noticed that AI sovereigns with the Aggressive trait are strongly inclined to spread out quickly, make demands of others, and declare war even when facing a superior force.
