Well, doggu is being sarcastic. First of all, please understand the total number of people actively/semi-actively playing this game is probably ~300 (~400, if we count the Gameranger crowd -- and yes, I suppose my census is quite adequate). That means you'll rarely see more than 30-50 people online simultaneously (10 ongoing games is a lot for us). Still, there are newcomers (more than you would think), and there is quite a lot of skilled old-timers hosting and playing in EU and U

I see. Thanks, kryo. Anyway, guys, half of you are programmers, while the second half is... well, software engineers. How about making an online page that will display the same info Impulse does? Is it complicated? If it's not, I think that'll do as a replacement (while I'm aware some people want to see game start time, etc., most of us just want a web-based ongoing games listing, I suppose).
Maybe. But normal towers are for minion users. Give my Regulus some demolishers and some little flying angels and I'll be fine with that. Sure, you cheater. Fight like a man, stop running away! [e digicons]}:)[/e]
High towers is for noobs . -ppapanek
maybe not bad Maybe ?! Just maybe ?! I will kill your Reg in 15 seconds, I swear!
And this post is not negative. Well, that's why I was asking if we can get a page based on Impulse up. Be constructive and answer me, ffs! ;)
Once we hit around ws 11 or so, the builds are pretty damn similar. Yes, that's the point. I do not doubt the conventional wisdom in general, I just think early game staying power > damage. Btw, this build's DoT is not too shabby: ranged cleave, 4 shamblers, 2 demos and 2 monks with Morale 3 do hell of a lot of ranged damage. Of course, it has no burst damage to speak of until 10+. One early miss and you'd pretty
Sorry for a noob question. I'm no programmer. Can't we, the fans, host a similar web-based page based on info taken from Impulse (Community->Games)?
Recently, I have come to the conclusion the symmetrical skilling most QoT builds use (i. e., 1 point in GS, 1 point in skill of choice A, 1 point in skill of choice B, etc.) is unjustified. Everyone and their grandma gets GS early, when all it does is (1) waste your precious mana and (2) make you go into a much inferior open mode. GS becomes useful roughly at 7+, and crucial at 10+. You will have it by then with this build. You will also have more pushing power/mana/survivability than oh-so-f
Two additional remarks: * The build suffers badly in laggy games. WoS is very lag-dependent. Usually, if it refuses to press in time, you are either dead (fail to run away) or miss a kill. * What I like to call a pacifist variation of this build leaves Pounce at I, and goes all MP/Silence. I use it only if I have two big-ass killers on the team, though (both DG and player-wise; say, a Rook nnnils and a UB Zen). Otherwise, having a strong Pounce is definitely a higher priority.
Me too. Especially when Pacov told me I should have adapted to the map I've seen for the second time in my life ;) Ahhh, that was priceless! Anyway, Cata 4v4 was fun, Zik 4v4 was less so, but still quite an unusual experience.
At least you get to play. That's not the point. I'm actually saying it's an advantage, since with setup like this, that's almost a sure win for our team (for a variety of reasons, 2 excellent carries + 1 good support >>> 1 excellent carry + 2 good carries). Darkliath could have benefited from this psychological nuance, too (getting attached to a stronger team, since her win percentage is low), but she plays aggressive characters (her best are Re
It's actually quite beneficial to have the lowest % of the bunch in PUG games. Let's say, there are 6 ppl in the lobby: nnnils, Zen, me, KlausKlaus, EldonTyrell, doggu. On the surface, it is 60%x3, 50%x2, 40%x1. So I bet I'd be attached to Zen and nnnils as a liability.
i might have After a game I played very recently as Zen's support teleporting bitch, I assure you: Zen is still a ballsy UB maestro.
I don't claim it's you at your best, guys, don't get me wrong :-D But the game was kind of long and skilled (=one portal cap did not decide it, like it happens in mid games a lot). I cannot say ZenKush were super-retarded. Zen died a bit, but he always dies a bit with an Oak, and I think Kush was actually doing very well :) Oh, it lagged badly towards the end, because SOMEONE took plague... Not a bad game on both sides, t
About those replays. Maybe this one is interesting, Zen/Justhavefun/6nana (!): http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/replays.php?game=51&show=details&id=219461 I know you weren't at your best, and having Vent sometimes really hurts (=distracts), but even your worst is usually good enough :) And nnnils is always nnnils, so...
OP updated.
No, it's like playing against a chain-potting, nearly unkillable, unlimited gold cheater. The AI's "brain" leaves much to be desired, but that's a given, more or less. At least the general tendency of AI's decisions makes some sense now.
Honestly, you have weird priorities. In your book, a DG player's integrity is measured by his/her ability to sit through crappy games going for half an hour with trash-talking assholes for teammates. The only way I can interpret your 95% is you are unnecessarily stubborn and have loads of spare time. Hey, good for you, but to claim these qualities are important for a DG player would be a bit of a stretch.
And as for boosting your % artificially, I think that's great. If your %win is stopping you from being able to play the game then it is unfair for you. The people selling the game should be telling customers their chance of actually playing is nearly 0 if they are a 'noob'. I think every user should get 200 games 50% win applied to their stats after completing 20 games vs AI so they can play multiplayer. We all have a right to play, and unlike other online games, DG does not h
Considering crime and punishment. It's not cheating per se . I have two legitimate accounts, so I can make myself 99% (if so inclined) without frustrating other people/denying them their hard-won victories . So yes, I openly admit I am definitely going to get to 50%, then fall again, etc. Stats do not matter in the least to me, but if I fall under 40%, I know for a fact I will be accepted by some hosts quite grudgingly. I see the tre
Hello and welcome, Indeed, DG tends to attract old fa... eh, mature people somehow. There is a lot of 30+ in our small community, and you don't even want to know how old Zen_God is. That said, while 30+ is fine and dandy chronologically, 30%+ is bad for getting a game, especially if no one can vouch for you. Personally, I'm ready to play on any team with everyone, experiment a lot, and have no issues with quitting a bad/laggy/silly game (after saying "gg", ofc), but I&
This is my Sedna build for long skilled games. In random/PUG matches, BotF is, generally, a safer option. It's a bit Rook-oriented, but since there is a Rook in 80% of the matches, and it's hard to find a really bad Rook (though I've seen some), that should present no problem at all. Why AoT/WoS? Sedna is a support DG. To support people, you must be in range. Thus, unlimited freebie tps are a blessing both early (ganks/counter-ganks) and late (portal control
I'm really sorry I have to post this. No... To be precise, I'm really sorry there still are people like this in our small community. The scenario is pretty trivial. We are +10 (or more, maybe even +15) kills up. Our team has loads of gold. End-game: giants out, portal battles, artifact phase is to begin (for us). After we kill MEDIGOD for the umpteenth time in a row, he causes invalid gamestate. That's a replay. It can
Doesn't work for me, either. Just a blank screen. UPDATE: It works. Make sure you are logged in with the correct e-mail (from DG's point of view :)).
