OK, lets continue: 10. I got a big complaint about hero/units/techs balance. Heroes are the only thing that you need to win. Units/tech take way too long to build to be a viable way of playing. Yes, I could probably swarm other players with mass of low level units BUT a big part of this game is about clearing monsters and even those swarms are pointless to use against them. By the time you get better units through tech your heroes are a much bigger level and monsters are again immune

Mana system as it is now is pretty broken. Non mages cast spells at too high a cost while for mages once you get two mana cost talents + water spell for reducing mana cost casting spells become almost free.

Hi all. First of all I want to say I like FE much more then E:WoM although at one time Brad told me that if I hated E:WoM I will hate FE as well. I am glad he as wrong about that as he was about us getting a disease by playing FE :D (actually he was kind of right about that, as my first game made me go to bed too late and I slept less then 6h that night and next day at work felt like I was sick :D). So lets get down to my experiences with the beta. I played 3 games total.I wil

They need to see the frustration of the people effected IMO, considering what happened in the past. Yes, absolutely. And in no way do I want to marginalize those who are having problems. As I said, I my

I don't believe I'm the only player who makes a lot of use of the quick-save. The way Champions have been structured in FE keeps the AI in the game because unlike us they can't just reload if a battle goes against them. I like they way they are structure

Fewer, more interesting city improvements is the goal so feel free to suggest how we can consolidate what we have to improve on city differentiation. This I can only applaud. I really hated how cities became huge map covering blobs in EWoM, and I was sad to see it was carried over into FE. Having to keep building certain bui

And now with FE I got a good feeling but if it is better then WoM but not The One I will be stuck here forever waiting again. And I am going through the same ordeal in Path of
To be really honest, it feels like a lot of pointless extra work to me if I have to design new units with pre-designed stats that you have already made for faction X just because I am playing faction Y. I would understand if all these special units had traits that only the faction could use (like the Umber Poison Vials example you gave), but if I can make the *exact* same special "unique" unit with Kraxis that Altar gets pre-created,

Don't forget, it was originally Westwood Studios (The creators of Command & Conquer) before EA bought them out and changed it to EA LA.
Yes and then most of WS people left EA. As a person that played a lot of Birth of the Federation (BOTF) multiplayer matches, I would suggest you cut MP if you cannot do combat for it. In BOTF playing all those turns, researching better ships and weapons, building your perfect armada while trying to get ahead economically or sabotaging the other player would mean nothing if in the end you couldn't have that big fight that would decide the winner. If it was only Click->you win (or you lose) I would have

So if that's really your opinion, you should go find a different game. Heroes VI is out and so is Sword of the Stars II, you might want to check them out. Your opinion may be different from mine but we are both getting FE for free and it looks like it's going to rock. Everything else is just your opinion, totally irrelevant and unable to change anything. So just enjoy the game. This![

About free FE. It is not free, I payed for it when I bought WoM. I knew WoM was crap at the time and Brad already promised FE and another expansion for free. So I payed for a game I knew I would not play much or enjoy for a hope to get a game in the future that I will. By buying WoM I basically preordered FE and the next expansion for years in advance. I credited Stardock without knowing if they are going to deliver. At the time these 2 expansion were real expansions, not new games. So you co
