I've owned basically every Stardock game since Gal Civ 1 came out on windows... Corp Machine is STILL a fun game (you guys should totally update that for modern times btw) Gal Civ III has a nearly impossible task. Improving on a game that is hands down one of the best in the genre. People here forget that Master of Orion 3 was supposed to be the end all be all of 4x games. Case closed done, no need to make more of them.

how you keep them from rolling over the galaxy... make them a major race without colonization tech. Also set them so that they are unwilling to trade any techs. The bigger question is how to make them so they do not initiate war UNTIL someone crosses into "their" territory. but also they should have territory Set them up so they spawn on map size =x plus y worlds... so in a small map they may s
I agree with the original post Heroes should be implemented more like hero's from Elemental... I like the Hire a ship option, but there should also be a Hire a leader option... you then assign the leader to the world or fleet etc. The ships should upgrade like the carrier fighters. they come with X techs which never change.. and as you get better tech they auto upgrade everything else. 1.5 was a major im
meh... too lazy to click
New plan... buy all the ships and make sure they work....
Awesome!
well then... seems they have some things that are not fully implemented yet. I even tried putting a colonizer into a fleet with it and that didn't work so yeah... it is basically a ship that ends up being expensive for no reason.

So this ship says it can turn any one dead planet into a type 16. I bought it and tried to fly it into a dead planet. No dice. I parked it next to a dead planet. No dice... I cant seem to see any way to tell it to terraform a planet. Any suggestions?
Seriously now, even though the Torian ships and shipyards/starbases are awesome, their thin and sharp lines don't go well with a low amount of antialiasing. I have mine set to 0x or 1x and they look a bit jagged...
time to upgrade?
I just assumed he was a Packer fan.... and all... Green and Yellow..
is there a way to make it One per Aquatic Planet per tech age? Even on big maps, there are not that many aquatic planets. This would really make the aquatic a lot more interesting.
Cow logo.... I'm betting you are from Wisconsin...
Ok, I'm not a fan of the colors... Green and Yellow just sorta are eh colors. But the ship designs in general are really sweet. By far my favorite stock ship designs in the game.
Same here... I appear to have 1.6 but not Mercenaries...
huh... my founder badge just vanished.... how odd...
I'd personally rather it be early next year then be released and unplayable... I suspect they found something that wasn't quite right and are working to fix it.
you guys.... you're doing it wrong. Brad reads these forums. He's totally pulling a J RR on us and is like... let them stew while I take my time. we need to pretend that we don't care or have better things to do. THEN he will release it.
define soon.... are we talking soon in a mayflie's life... or soon in the era or epoch scale?

I agree... Or you know make the anomalies so heavily defended that you can't get them until very late in game... But yeah... In one game I had two Precursor Research planets... in ONE SYSTEM... Once built up they had insane research.
Balance issues for this game are insanely hard... in a small map stellar folders are silly fast.. but on the bigger maps it still takes FOREVER to get anywhere. a few thoughts. 1 Balance ship speed to map size. this is simple. Each engine component has a speed that is a base % of the radius of the map. Thus if the hyper drive moves 1% of the map then what might be one tile on a small map becomes p
Yeah... never seen it in game yet.... Would be cool if there was a way we could input a code into our game to make it so our planet was ALWAYS in every map but that's probably a pure pipe dream.
