The Corsairs go after the closest combat structure first, the Reapers follow the Corsairs while gunning down SC, the Rogues and Cutthroats go after Trade and Refinery ships. All of this is dependent on if there is a colony ship present. They completely ignore starbases, though... [e classic]:([/e]

Wait... they aren't arriving from Phase Lanes? Do you have any more details, like the names of the invading ships, how many of each, what color they are, and how much damage a single one does?

To destroy your platforms, click on the orange line beneath their icon when you have them selected. That'll scuttle them, which will refund part of their purchase price. As for the pirates, most newbies would be well advised to leave them off while they learn the ropes. What version do you have?

Do yourself a favor, and stay out of Ironclad Online. The pros there are jerks, and most, if not all, of them do something called smurfing; creating an alias so that they can get into games with players they deem below their talent level, and then they stomp them. To add to it, a good chunk of people there are jerks. They'll make you regret you came on in a heartbeat. Save yourself the trouble, and stay in singleplayer.
