I have observed that once resources have been built upon (mines, horses, magic shrines etc.) you no longer get a tool-tip when you mouse over them. This can get annoying on maps with many resources - especially if zoomed out.

I confirm this behaviour. At the start of most battles I start to cast Blizzard with my sovereign. Usually, I will ned to re-cast it when it next becomes her turn. Some things I have seen: 1) In most (all?) of these battles at least one enemy unit moves adjacent to my sovereign, but does not hit her. Would it be enough to make a spell stop casting that an enemy unit is adjacent? 2) A champion I have in that same army uses 1 or more special abilities (but does not cast
*enchntments are too expensive to be worth casting and cannot be made cheaper *At game start you have no mana and at game end thousands *magic is only unlocked by exp talents so you can have god wizerds without magic research (Also gives no good magic items) *Focus is a fire spell. Wouldn't a talent make more sense? *Enemy Sov and monsters don't even seem to have spells. <br /
Not all suggestions need to be specific either. People voicing complaints about various aspects of the games leads to discussions on how to fix them, or at the very least let the designers know there is something that needs fixing.
I'm sorry, but I don't agree with you on that. If you are going to use words like God-awful or terrible, you better have a good explanation as
Loads and loads of people in this thread are flinging words like God-awful, really bad, terrible, badly designed and such around - without suggesting alternatives, and without in many cases explaining why they think it's bad. Honestly I think that much of it is down to people not having tested enough. Believe me...once you get into middle and late game, you really don't worry about mana - at all . It needs tweaking though. For in
I just sent a note off to support about this as I just looked and you should have had it added to your account.
This, right there is why I keep coming back to Stardock when I want to buy games. I can think of no other CEO in the world that would act like this. I know that came off way too fanboyish, but that is genuinely how I feel. Amazing company! And Glory to the Empire!
Quoting Asmodean_dk, reply 8Ok I thought that SDC had been discontinued? Honestly I wasn't aware that it had been re-instated as a download platform for Stardock products. Or is this still in the pipeline? Check it: https://forums.stardock.com/413462
Great news. That one had really slipped under my radar.
This is great news. Can't believe this had gone under my radar. Looking forward to uninstalling Impulse ;)
Quoting Asmodean_dk, reply 5What I would love, though, is an in-game "Check for updates" button. So please take that as a suggestion I think it's safe to assume once its final release, it will be available on Stardock Central for updates.
Ok :) I thought that SDC had been discontinued? Honestly I wasn't aware that it had been re-instated as a download platform
Quoting Asmodean_dk, reply 3And my question still stands with regards to how they intend to inform us about beta patches...and in the future updates to the finished game The best information you will get will be announcements in the forums and front page of the Elemental site.
Apparently the major patches will use a patch file which you run to update from the base.
Can't remember seeing that. Not saying "Link, or it didn't happen!" though. I must just have missed that bit of information. And my question still stands with regards to how they intend to inform us about beta patches...and in the future updates to the finished game :) Cheers
So, with Impulse no longer being under Stardock's control, and with the introduction of the "new" download page, how are content updates going to be handled? Will it just be a link on the download page? And will we be informed via e-mail and/or forums that a new beta/patch is available? Will updates be requiring uninstalls, or can we unzip updates directly to the FE folder? Lots of questions, I know :) Cheers from Morten
So, erm.....does this mean that roads are going to cost gold now? And that stacks will be gone from Elemental soon? :p
So...have been seeing this a few times now. Quest starting locations don't disappear when completing a quest after save/exit. Very easily reproducable. Get quest Save game and exit Reload game Complete quest Quest starting location is still there, but does nothing when you enter the tile. Quite annoying Haven't done extensive testing, so can't say for sure if this applies to all q
What's really interesting in the context of this discussion - or at least what this discussion has become - is this: Do we as a modern society/modern day caucasians need to assume guilt for something that our ancestors did over a hundred years ago? I don't think so. This notion of inherited guilt really leaves a bad taste in my mouth - and I really think it has no place. Now to turn the discussion back on track with the most importa
Yup...having the same issue with 1.09n and I have also changed my credentials. In my case I have changed my e-mail address that is registered with my account. And I have no way of going back to the old e-mail address, since I no longer have access to that. So erm Stardock....could this be fixed please? Asmodean
WOW....this thread got derailed fast. As far as I remember, this thread was about general problems with quests - not specific problems related to the dragon quest. Asmodean
And then there's ppl like me. If Elemental cost £100 or more, I'd still buy it....simply because Stardock is they company they are. I know the release hasn't been flawless, but in terms of product support and general "just being awesome guys" there's no other company like SD out there :) Fanboi? Perhaps....but I think it's merited. Asmodean
I just wanted to say that until today, I have never truly been both dissapointed by Stardock. While I have had minor issues in the past with some games, it is unacceptable that after multiple patch fixes the game still crashes once you reach turn 180 and up. I have had to run Elemental easily over 100 times for this 1 game so far. Every 3-5 turns I still get a memory error, and now if I try to research the Housing tech, My game crashes. While the
