Here's my take on why the view isn't top-down... I'm not a dev though, so take it with a grain of salt... A 3/4 view vs a top-down view actually shows off the 3d aspect of the game. With a locked top-down camera there's no point in making the game 3D. In 3/4, when a ship turns, you see it turning and are shown a new region of the object that was previously obscured. I am going to venture a guess that because a snip-job can be reversed and a dead baby cannot be brought back to life is why. That makes absolutely no sense to me. Why would the more permenant one not require dual party consent, but the one that can be reversed (and is thus less severe) does?

A bit of irony here... I remember how much many people on the right bemoaned the sanctimonious assholes on the left, how the left was so arrogant etc. I've seen the tides decidedly turn since the election. Now it's many of the strong conservatives who are doing the talking-down, doing the insulting and such. I think I've got a good idea on how to expand this whole thing... we've got the headlines, but lack the articles. How would the stories of the bible sound if they were written by the sensationalist journalists of today? How would the whole thing read if it was as a serial set for a saturday newspaper? Hrrm... You do NOT want to do enchanting... trust me... it is NOT worth it. With blacksmithing you can mine your resources relatively easily. With enchanting, you have to DISENCHANT all of your components from existing magical items. This means your progress is gated by how many green, blue and purple items you are able to get your hands on. Also, most items have several components they can disenchant to, and varying quantities... all of which are random.

If you look at the laws of physics, we see that you can't have something from nothing, and that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. No action then can have initiated on its own, it must simply be a reaction from some previous event, creating an endlessly nested sent of reactions that has to loop back on itself at some point or continue on deeper in iterations to infinity, meaning there is no beginning... with no beginning there is no end.
