Ooh - nice. I love the 'no button' task buttons - makes a nice change. Cool orange edge as well. Good work fellas.

One of the coolest. Well worth the price for a suite of this quality.
Happy bir... (damn - missed it) Belated Birthday greetings. Hope had lots to drink.
(I use a text editor. So spank me!)
Oh - and nice work on the web page Alexandrie.
Please, please, PLEASE release an update to the UIS+ file reference document - particularly for the new shelltyle sections. Just a single page outlining the parameters, which XP elements they relate to, and under what circumstances you see them in XP. (I'm delaying my current release because I haven't got any documentation and there's stuff I can't get to work and I don't know why...) (er.
Well done Mike - that's the answer I was looking for. In that case I'll post the skin without the folder backgrounds once I've finished off the Control Panel stuff. Koasati - I agree. (Whew - thought it was just me. Hmm... maybe there's a magic word?) Thanks Mike.
Thanks for that motion. I'm sure that should help me out.
Well I have the shellstyle.xps file set up and everything, and the logoff/shutdown stuff is all ready. The problem is, I can't see explorer background images even for other skins which have WB4 (Colony, Sammy). Am I just looking at the wrong screens on XP? Please, please, nice MR Stardock man, can you update the UIS reference docs? (I'm sure it'll only take five minutes...)
Ok - I confess. I use a text editor to do all my skins, not SkinStudio. There I said it. Now the question. How the heck do I see the new WB4 dialog backgrounds? Do I have to have something switched on in Windows or in WB? On a similar subject, is there a list of what the new ShellStyle options are? (In a reference document rather than in SkinStudio.) If there isn't, can some kind pers
Indeed a very nice set of skins. Professional quality as usual. Full marks Treetog and Alexandrie.
I haven't stopped using NextStart for at least the last two years. Daily.
Damn fine skin on your snapshot there!
You are right about the name length Mike. I think my problem was a video driver thing. I've updated them and things seem more stable. Ah well. Thanks for the reply.
If you use a hyphen (a 'dash') in your image file name, does it cause problems with WindowBlinds? I always use the underscore character, but I'm having a problem with a skin which has dashes in the image filenames. ??
Take a look here - A WindowBlinds-a-like app with skin packs for sale with many ripped skins at the related 'Dezi Skins' website: SkinEngine - http://www.ksdev.com/skinengine/screen.html Dezi Skins - http://www.deziru.com/skins/ Did anyone give their permission for these?
...erm, well, in a while - I'm getting timeouts here. I'll try from home tonight.
I'm just posting 'Goof' theme here...
Sorry Doreen... Sincere thanks for all the kind words. This _will_ be just a break rather than a complete retirement. Fear not. Expect something later in the year. The reasons? 1) time - I haven't enough of it at the moment (hence the lack of a response from me to all these comments) 2) inspiration - I haven't enough of it at the moment (after about eighty NextStart theme
Sadly, I need to take a break from skinning. A big thank you to everyone who has commented on my skins to date. I hope you enjoyed them. This isn't neccessarily the end. Probably just a pause. kind regards, Essorant. ----------- (Tim Dagger)
Come on now - I'm sure some of you young skinners out there can help a senile old fella... I'm having a problem with OB when it use an XP WB skin to create an object bar on Win98/W2k (i.e. a non-xp system). I'm confused as to how it decides how tall the taskbar is. I have a taskbar image of 30 pixels and a resize bar of 6 pix, but on my snapshot the actual taskbar is 34 pix tall (including the resize bar). Another thing is that the systray is overlaid at the right end of the ta
Congratulations Grayhaze. A well deserved accolade. Also congrats to everyone who entered!
I assume you have something in place to stop me from voting for my own skins? (...I'm poised with a block vote of ten million ... bwahahaaa!!!)
Is there a tutorial on how to skin this? Or some other documentation? I'd like to try porting one of my NextStart themes.
Oooh thanks! Took me ages. (Well, a few minutes...)
