Entrenchment? any mods?
Everyone who plays online against other humans basically exclusively plays Diplomacy. There are a few people who play mods every once in a while but the player counts for that are next to prohibitively low.

Maybe they should give Advent an armor research at level 2, and lower the second tier of armor research to level 4 or 5.
In keeping with Advent's general reliance on shields rather than hull or armor, what do you think about ins
So i've been playing sins for what? A really long time I don't have much multiplayer experience but I think there is a lot of balancing that can go into making the advent competitive again. The current problem lies with the Advents early game, its pitiful and make LRM spamming them severely easy.
Spam Seekers, as you know. Damage per cost, Advent's early-game frigates are more effective in a general fleet combat situation than the frigates of

The main part of the game (in single-player) is with the overall AI itself (which always suicides itself on starbases), of which pirates are only an occasional part. If only there were a way to mod the AIs. But the devs have shot this down for some reason... such a shame. I'd love to be able to mod them and to challenge myself to build one which could beat most human players without income/research advantages.

When an ability or something modifies a ship or structure, the info card often displays unintuitive modifier percentages. For instance: the Cielo's Designate Target, when used, has the targeted ship's infocard display "Damage Reduction: 40%" (in red). For one thing, this sounds a little weird:"Damage Taken: +40%" or something would make more sense. As it is, players might think this means that the target ship will take 40% more damage, or, 1.4x normal. But is that really what

The problem is that Ogrovs shred structures very quickly. If pirate raids have the potential to have 4 or more Ogrovs they'd be easily pushed over the line from "lame" to "dangerous", especially in combination with a lot of pirate Krosovs. At the moment I think they usually send something like 30+ ships on raids past the first 15 minutes: for example, using your modifications, 10 Ogrov, 10 Krosov, and 10 flak would require a large fleet of your own defending, or you would likely lose a wh

I want to extract some of the icons from Sins, mainly buttons, so they can be put on the Sins wiki. The modding community is probably most familiar with this kind of thing. I know next to nothing about modding so this is probably a "FAQ" of some sort, is extracting button graphics possible? Thanks.

Have you guys isolated this in the new build of the game?
"Pausing"? What exactly is it doing? I have noticed that in very long games when there are hundreds of strike craft squadrons, the game often hangs for 2 or 3 seconds while they all decide what target to attack next.
The main thing holding 1v1 Sins back is that the default 1v1 random map is really quite bad, there are a fairly large amount of planets per player and the map is often divided into two clear halves, often with only the star and/or pirate base connecting them, and they aren't always of equal sizes. Thus if possible try to persuade your opponent to use a pre-made map or even a map designer map.
I disagree somewhat. I, for one, lov

There are a number of people who play 1v1 competitively (looking at you THAN0S), but most people prefer to play large 5v5 games. That said, if you host a 1v1, you WILL find people willing to play. Competitive 5v5 games can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half, but most are decided in an hour or so. Most 1v1 games seem to be decided in around 40 minutes if skill levels are somewhat unequal, but if both sides entrench and are relatively equally skilled (which is s
