@GoaFan77 Fair enough. However, the advent rebel player would also have a fleet of his own ready. Since wail of the sacrificed only requires a temple of communion, the advent rebel will also have a sizable, and probably comparable, fleet of his own. If I split up my fleet amongst multiple fronts, he can split up his fleet and fend off my attacks. Plus since I am on the offensive, he will have the advantage of being able to replace his fleet. Anyway I look at this, the advent

Wail of the sacrificed is an ability for the Advent Rebel's temple of communion unlocked at tier 7. When activated at a temple of communion, it kills the planet's population, leaving an uncolonized planet. For this trade off however, it deals out immediate damage to connected gravity wells, specifically 20 times the planets population. For example, if activated on a moon planet, it will deal 20*50=1000 damage to all connected gravity wells. While it doesn&

Correct me if I read this wrong, but are you suggesting that you need a titan in order to use stripped the core? If so, I like this idea. This will help deal with stripped to the core rushes, as you would need tons of money to get the research and titan. By the time you get the titan, your enemy would have a much larger fleet.

I'd imagine multi core support would require massive engine overhauling. When the game engine was first made, I think single cores were still the norm for gaming. Unfortunately, at that time it was right before multi core CPU's became the new standard, hence we have an engine that only uses one core. Unless ICO decides to drop one heck of a patch for rebllion, we're probably not gonna see multi core support till sins 2.

I also want to know why Orogov's can't target a Titan? You have any idea how effective tec would be against titans if Orogov's could do that? :O As for tec loyalists, I agree that they are a bit lacking, granted I am an offensive minded player.

Define "beginning" and define "boring" For me, none of it is boring. When the game first begins, your in a race against the clock to capture and upgrade as many planets as possible to get your economy rolling. Every planet you can get in the early game will help you a lot as the game goes on. While there may not be too much combat going on, it's still interesting for me, racing to get as many planets as possible. Furthermore, it's interesting to fend of rushes.

Wail of the sacrificed... The good: It is devastating to approaching enemy fleets, and can easily turn the battle in your favor. It's a late game tech though, so it's somewhat balanced. Plus you have to rebuild all that planet infrastructure after using it. The bad: It's still a bit too good...Long story short, wail of the sacrificed allows your temples of communion to sacrifice a planets population, dealing 20 damage for each unit of population to co

Corvettes also have excellent speed...players can amass a swarm of them and have them just jump jump jump from planet to planet, razing structures and extractors....you can't catch them, even with flak, and PJI's aren't going to do you much good...too hard to get that early in the game, and corvettes will just destroy them anyway... And this is the part where you use your fleet to attack his planets. Either he pull

I agree that a titan coming back with levels after death is a bit much. So I suggest this: Add in four more researchs in the titan tech tree after the 4th titan research. Each of these new researches would let your titan keep more and more of its xp after death. With no "titan xp" research, if you lose your titan, you lose all of it's levels. With researching however, the titan will retain 20% of it's xp after death. Research the next tier, 40% of its xp rolls over, 6

To be honest, as long as there is a really good UI that allows you to navigate the battlefield and control your units with ease, I would be quite happy. As far as what I'm want the future to look like, I would love more details on ships on planets. Individual rotating turrets, varied planets with accessories such as rings or moons, more visible particle effects for weapons and unit deaths, and so on. However, what I really would love to see would be performance upgrades. I'd

So there are no 1 or 2 settings that are major CPU hogs? Alright, guess I'll bust out fraps and experiment with different settings. My GPU is plenty powerful, but my CPU only runs at 1.2 Ghz, though with Max Turbo Frequency 2.26 Ghz. It is a dual core, but Sins mainly uses only 1 core from what I understand.

Hello all! I just picked up sins over steam, and believe me when I say this has to be one of the best games I have ever played!! Only problem is, is that the CPU on my laptop is a bit weak, and I was wondering what specific settings deal with CPU. Resolution, AA, planet details etc. Currently my settings are at max and games work smoothly for me until about an hour in, when massive fleets begin colliding and my CPU is hitting it's max. I would prefer to keep
