Texture upload in OS Customization WinCustomize Forums

Could some nice person explain the upload procedure for textures. I started to upload but stopped for fear of doing it wrong. I have a skin coming out that the textures were made for but did not want to just apply one to the skin and upload. I have two textures and need to know if I just upload a zip with the two textures as TGA files or some other type? Also, do I just post a screen of the texture or on a skin? I sized them like what I saw in the textures folder and need assistance from here

With the menu bar unchecked,if you open the drop down menu from the orange tab and click full screen, your min max rest buttons will change to classic looking windows buttons also, and one of the other selections will actually move your buttons to the inner left part of the caption. Just some FYI.

I just installed firefox again and like 2 of 3 says, turn on the menu bar, Right click on the orange tab, hover to options, check menu bar and you should be good to go. This disappearing button only occurs when not in full screen and happens with thunderbird also.

There is a solution I believe. I just noticed the orange tab at the top of your pic, this is what is preventing your top from skinning I believe. If you right click on it or somewhere near it, a pop up should appear or somehow a drop down menu allows you to disable that menu bar. Then the tabs appear. Sorry so vague , but I had that problem and fixed it, then ended up with an older version for different reasons. Firefoxe site could help disable that menu also. Goodliuck.

I use Firefox (9) with no issues, I think I will keep it. Could use an older version, until a fix is presented.

Thanks Lightstar. I deleted the pics because while I was waiting for the page to load to edit, I tried a couple other skins and get the same results. So, you called it, a Mozilla problem, not WB. Thank you for the speedy reply.

Forgot the download issue. I can only imagine getting thousands of downloads, and how nice it would feel. But, I also would understand, as someone already suggested, that people download for all sorts of reasons. I imagine a lot of them are like myself, download, look at it , delete it because the preview was better than the skin for one reason or another, etc. So, this makes user comments more valuable to me. I like Daves suggestion of PM's or Emails for tech problems. This way is does not become a public lashing for Stardock or the person requesting a problem be addressed. Sounds like you somehow have blocked user accounts. Check user accounts settings. Why are you running NOT AS ADMIN.. is this your machine, if so , you should be set up as administrator.If it is your machine only, remove the user account so it logs on as admin. You may have to reset permissions. That can be difficult for the average user, and no, I am not calling you average, its just that you are asking for help, so I figure this may be difficult for you is all. Uvah, I had two rooms painted top to bottom by 9 am. I am the sole painter at a campus that houses close to 1000 residents. Lots to paint, can't start early enough. But, I get out early, fair trade, I am a morning person, up at 2am usually.

Do you refer to Doortech1's version? If so, I only made it for xp, would have to be a computer setting or hardware issue. I did not use per pixel frames on that. Only magic pink I believe, so would not be a video support issue. If its mine I will try to help resolve. Let me know.DoorTech1.
