Thanks very much guys, you have made my mind up for me.......thank God. :) I will go with the i7 and a X-something chip-set (none intel) motherboard, plus some good ram. I have calculated the cost I have a little left over. Could you recommend a Nvidia graphics card that is one above the GTX 660ti, or should I stick with the 660ti? Thanks.

I am shortly going to build a new computer. I have two builds in mind, but for the life on me can't settle on one or the other, so I am in need of a little help from those who may be more in the know than myself. The two builds are based on.... CPU - AMD FX8-8350 Vishera 8 core Graphics - Hd 7950 3072mb OR CPU - Intel i7 3770k Ivybridge Graphics - GTX 660ti Please help me make up my mind, it's driving me crazy. :)<
No thank you. I have spent enough on this game already. Going to give some new games a pick at my wallet. :)
-1 To much multiplayer stuff these days, good single play stuff is getting hard to find. All the dev's time is usually taken up fixing and balancing mp and the single player suffers.
What a frigging bargain, grab it quick. :) http://www.gog.com/
They are turning FE into LH.? So I have payed twice for the same game. What a darn crafty move.
The problem with buying 3rd party Android is that they usually come packed with bloatware. That's why we went with Nexus, nice and squeaky clean and updates are immediate.
although.... ...you might not want the iTunes.... but if it comes with the superyacht.... you'd have to rethink it.... link..
Bet it sinks first time out. :)
yep, the Nexus 7 has a really good write up.. and great price tag... link... "Thanks to its comfortable design and sharp screen, the Nexus 7 is one of the best e-readers out there".
And no drm s**t, no itunes, no need to jailbreak, no crap rooted all over your pc. With our Nexus 7's we simply put them back to back and swap goodies. We love our Nexus 7's ;)
We have all upgraded from the ipad to the nexus 7 and we are not disappointed. We love our Nexus 7's
Wow, maaan!!! This game is hot. So hot my keyboard is smoldering and I have blisters on my fingers. I just love it, and only £13 on GoG as well. Thanks for the heads up. Both of you. :)
In Trivial UseSegoeFont mod, the font size was chosen to minimize text runoffs, and minimal number of files was changed. It should work with vast majority of the mods out there.
Yeah!! :) Another problem solved. Your trivial mod pack is anything but trivial, It's a life saver. Thank you. Update: Text is now great.
I think it was Xiskio's Segoe UI mod that I tried, but the font didn't show up in some of the menu's. Those that it did looked really cool, and I had no trouble reading it. BTW: I got the Segoe font through the windows live trick.
I am changing all the things I don't like about Rebellion. The music is horrible (Found a Homeworld music mod, now it's great) The voices are horrible (Partial fix found here) Superweapons are horrible (fix found here) The descriptions are unnecessarily confusing and need simplifying (Fix found here) The font is horrible. I find it uncomfortable to read (Fix found here) The sound effects are horrible (No fix found yet)
You're welcome. I think it is pending sd approval, and should show up in a few days. You can try the medifire link in the meantime.
That's fine, I can wait a little longer. Great little mods, make a big difference to my game.
Thanks, just wanted to disable the pesky computer making super-weapons under five minutes from the start of the game.
I know, garbage isn't it? I never have the time to build cruisers before I am overrun by millions of junky enemy frigates. So I tend to build millions of junky frigates myself.
@mikefacciola I have also found this mod were you can also disable titans as well as superweapons. Don't know if it's 1.5 compatable yet, but worth a try. https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/sins_mods/151/
Just updated to version 1.5 but didn't want to play it with %&*£$ing horrible game destroying super weapons. So thank you very much for this. ;)
Just had another stealth, secret, sneaky 1.6meg update.
Windows 8 has thankfully opened the door to Android. :D
This could have something to do with me sometimes not being able to move my army's. It's only just started happening. Think I might switch this beta thingy off.
