Hello, while revising the German translation, I came across an error in the “Windows App style.” In the context menu for recently used documents, “Unpin” is used instead of “Remove from list.”

I have fix the link. https://forums.stardock.com/539622/page/1/#3983576 Since the Control Panel and Windows Settings have identical text, only one of them can be translated. However, the text belongs to the Windows Settings.

@sdRohan , that's funny. I discovered days ago that, unlike Fences, you can easily edit the language file. I wish that were possible for Fences, too. I've already changed a few things for myself. For example, I removed all single quotation marks. But to do that systematically would be a lot of work for me. And honestly, my English isn't that good, and even as a native speaker, it's not that easy to translate the text into German in a way that's compliant with Windo

I am now convinced that the translation was done with the help of AI. Today, AI can translate texts well if used correctly. Automatically translating an entire language file is certainly not a good idea, as you can see from the result. For example, there are some texts that suddenly appear in single quotation marks in the German version. This looks particularly strange in buttons. They also forgot to widen the buttons for other languages. <span style="text-de

The texts could also be improved a little here. - "Menu background transparency level"="Transparenzgrad des Menühintergrunds" - "Item font :"="'App-Schriftart:" - "Header font :"="Gruppenüberschrift:" - "Menu font :"="Menüschriftart:" -

Some buttons are too small The cancel button is too small, and the quotation marks should be removed. "Abbrechen" "Einstellungen" <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/48/48/4848614/71f78c8a-b337-4e4d-8ed6-c8d19badbe91.pn

I took a closer look at the recent folder. Basically, its appearance and name are determined by the "desktop.ini" file contained within it.
So, are you saying that your primary user account was corrupted?
Hello, The account is not corrupt. At the very beginning, the error wasn’t there. It only occurred after I manually removed the individual entries from "Recommended Documents" via the context menu: Remove from List . <p data-st

Hello, Today, I sat down again for about an hour and really tried everything. For example, I searched the registry and the hard drive for entries related to "AutomaticDestinations," stopped the Start11 service, reloaded it, and ended the Explorer.exe task. I also deleted and renamed the "AutomaticDestinations" and "CustomDestinations" entries multiple times. At one point, after deleting and renaming, I even sa

Thank you. On my other Windows 11 PC, this entry “AutomaticDestinations” is neither present in the Start 11 Start menu under “Recent Documents” nor in the registry. There, it works the way it’s supposed to. It would be nice if this could be fixed. What I mean by this is that it’s not a general problem. In fact, this should be something that can be resolved somehow. Where does Start11 store this information? Only in the registry (Stardock/Start8/...)

Windows 11 default Start panel: As you can see, there is no entry for "AutomaticDestinations" here. Recent (Default): C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\ These two folders should be excluded. They do not belong to the recent files. C:\Users\Username\A

Apparently, the problem has not yet been solved. After I deleted all recent files, this remained: All attempts to resolve this issue have failed. Neither deleting the registry entry nor deleting “C:\Users\Thomas\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations” nor reinstalling the program has helped. <br

No, this does not happen in the Windows 11 standard menu. It's just strange. When you exit the Start menu and return later, it works fine for a while. But at some point, it stops working. If you switch briefly to Windows 10 style and then return to Windows 11 enhanced style, it works normally again. Until you exit the Start menu again.

As mentioned, I’ve noticed this behavior on two different computers. I actually use a lot of tools, like Fences, but not all of them are running in the background. It often helps if I briefly switch to a different style. However, at some point, jumping to certain letters no longer works accurately. For example, when I select the letter "S", it jumps one or two lines below the letter. From that point, it eventually st

Hello, The app list does not jump to the selected letters. The problem occurs with Windows 11 Style with enhancements. I have this problem on two different Windows 11 computers. I use Start 11 v2 2.56 on both of them. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cXeIbXU2twfR_fzonBb-X8dfYsxvMfna/view?usp=sharing

Hello, If I may make a suggestion, I would like to center the text, as in the Windows 11 start menu. Do you think this would be possible? Windows 11 Startmenu Stardock Start 11 v2 <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/48/48/4848614/85411a6e-5c1e-4524-afbd-45a14574b5c1.png" alt="" width="1

Adam, I was able to solve the problem thanks to pelaird. I was just trying to find out which entry is responsible for making the missing group visible again, and thought this might help you investigate the issue further. Since the missing group was also the default group “Pinned,” it’s very likely that it is related to the registry entry mentioned above, or to the setting “Pin Windows menu shortcut on Start11 menu.” Anyway, I have now completely r

Hello, I’ve since found out that I can easily edit the German language files. For the missing German translations, I just need to insert the original English phrases there. This works for most of the missing entries. However, for "Control Panel" and "Settings", unfortunately, the identical tooltip was used in both cases. Is it possible to change the tooltip for the Control Panel? For example, it could be the one used in Windows 10: "Opens the Control Panel to manag
