Again, to be clear, my computer does-not-sleep . Only my display is turned off. The random flickering, while my computer is in use, seems to have no trigger. I can't point to an event that causes it. Cheers.

That is the way my computer is set up already. Just to reiterate, this problem only shows up with Deskscapes 11. I never had this with Deslscapes 10, even on Windows 11. I use Deskscapes 11 because the random wallpaper display function seems to work better. Another thing that I have noticed is that, when the flickering starts, and I go to the Start 11/Taskbar settings to restart Windows Explorer, the wallpaper immediately changes, sometimes by a couple of images, befor

Deskscape 11 intermittently flashes the desktop wallpaper during the change. This often happens after the computer has been inactive and puts the monitor in standby mode. Then, upon awakening, it appears that Deskscapes is trying to 'catch up' on wallpaper changes that were missed during standby. This doesn't happen all of the time; only intermittently. I have tried pausing Deskscapes and logging out. Neither fixes the problem. I have tried restarting explorer but that

Is there a Deskscape 11 manual, or document, where the various "Settings" are defined/explained? Some of the options under "Settings>>Default Background Position" are self-explanatory, others like 'Align Top' are not. I have a 4K monitor 3840x2160. I want undersized images to fit, usually the vertical size, rather than stretch to fill. What would be the appropriate default setting to allow for this? Thanks.

Textures for the Taskbar don't seem to affect the transparency operation. I guess the best way to have both Start Menu and Taskbar transparency is to have the System transparency set to 'ON'. That allows both Start 11 Start Menu transparency config and Taskbar transparency % solid to work. The reason that I had the System transparency set to 'OFF' was to prevent the Lockscreen from blurring upon pin/password entry. Oh well. I'd rather have control of the Start 11 Menu

I will start by mentioning that initially , I had the Windows 11 Pro transparency setting off. Accessability>Visual Effects>Transparency Effects. Changing the 'auto colour' and/or 'texture' does not affect the transparency of the Start Menu. It's still completely solid; but, as mentioned before the Taskbar Transparency is working as intended. Now, turning ON the Windows transparency setting mentioned above DOES affect th

Start 11 v1.24 menu transparency not working. I have the menu transparency set to 30% yet the menu is solid for all styles. I have the taskbar set to 30% as well and that is working correctly. Both the taskbar and the menu are using the 'Rock' texture with auto-colour. Any ideas? Cheers.

Neil, This is a screenshot of the expanded, right-click, on the menu item "Stardock Start11". https://1drv.ms/u/s!ArpXySjqs7lJj7t5m0mNK-4LibQA7Q?e=bWOrxU The only applicable selection is to uninstall. The Programs and Features app only shows Stardock Start11 with the proper icon. Selecting Uninstall will remove the program, not the erroneous menu item. Cheers.

This applies to any version of Start11 on my Windows 11 installation. After installing Start11, currently V1.2 beta, my Start Menu has an extra entry of "Stardock Start11" listed above the "Start11" entry in the Stardock folder of my Start Menu. https://1drv.ms/u/s!ArpXySjqs7lJj7t3b7zoswxp0gENRQ?e=97QNKm I have used Revo Uninstaller Pro to completely remove all Stardock programs. I have then re-i

This has been an ongoing problem with Start 11. I'm currently using V1.2 beta. When trying to load ANY document from, either Start 11 Windows 7 Style or Start 11 Modern Style, I get this error message pop up briefly... https://1drv.ms/u/s!ArpXySjqs7lJj7t2jXyNKsmFrTsIRw?e=wuyVyz This error does not occur with either the Windows 10 Style or the Windows 11 Style and the documents open correctly in the appro

Some further info... The science programs that run while the computer is idle are... Folding@Home, and BOINC projects Einstein@Home, LHC@Home, Milkyway@Home, and Rosetta@Home . The four BOINC projects share BOINC's time. They don't all run at the same time. Last night after gaming and the computer had been id

Over the last week, or so, I've had an intermittent problem with Deskscapes 11 beta 5. I have DS set to randomly change my wallpaper every 2 minutes and to 'Pause when a window is at full screen'. Windows is set to turn off my monitor after 30 minutes but, it never sleeps and the screensaver is off. I don't leave programs running with windows open when I'm done with my computer. However, there are science programs that run when the computer is idle; but, they don't

Deskscapes 10 had a feature whereby a user could set a picture that was in the random folder to be the active wallpaper for the period set by the random folder settings. I would like to have that feature added to the Deskscapes 11 playlist images. When I add an image to my playlist I want to be able to click a button, or right-click an image, and apply that image to my desktop or the period that is set by the playlist settings. Cheers.

I haven't seen an option for a setting like this; so, I would like to suggest that this option be considered. I have a large number of pictures in my 'Random backgrounds' folder of Deskscapes 10.02. I would like an option whereby Deskscapes would remember which pictures had been randomly shown and not repeat these pictures until all of the images in the 'Random backgrounds' folder had been shown. I have had instances where Deskscapes has shown the same images a couple of

Thank you sdRohan...👍👍👍 That article had the fix. Option One, in the article, was the only way I could get to the "handedness" feature of Tablet PC Settings. None of the other options mentioned in the article were available on either my desktop or my laptop I had to set the Tablet PC Settings--> Other Tab "Handedness" to 'Left-handed' to get all of the menus/sub-menus to fly-out to the right. Who'd think of Tablet Mode Settings affecting desktop operations?

Ok, some more info. I've completely removed all Stardock software using Revo Uninstaller Pro so as to remove any vestiges of the software. I rebooted the computer and re-installed only Start10 v1.95 beta from a stand-alone download. I got the fly-out to the left bug happening with only Start10 running with my normal startup load of programs. I then did a clean boot with nothing other than Microsoft stuff running. Then, using msconfig, I activated only Start10 and reboo

Hi basj, I tried this and it didn't work. I also noticed that, even though Fences had been disabled, Fences was active on my desktop but showed disabled in Task Manager. I'm going to remove all of the Object Desktop software, then only install Start10 and see what happens. Is there a 'cleanup program' to scrub my computer of residual Stardock software? Thanks.

No, I have Object Desktop; and one of the applications in the package is Start10. The Object Desktop manager groups all of the various apps together in one spot. I'm wondering if there is some other app that is somehow acting on Start10 to cause the cascading problem. This only started after the Windows 10 2004 update. It's only a problem with our computers running Object desktop.

They open to the right. My laptop also has the same problem and it also has Start10 with Object Desktop. My wife's computer also has Start10, but hers is a stand-alone install. She doesn't use Object Desktop and her Start10 Ver. 1.94 opens correctly to the right. Her Windows info is the same as mine. Could the problem be the Object Desktop? Thanks.
