The way it currently operates the AI thinks their ships are gold plated and yours are warm summer garbage. Considering what the AI is willing to offer in ship trades the feature might as well not exist. It does make sense that they wouldn't want to weaken themselves for some coins, but but weakening me and strengthening themselves seems like something they would consider. The price of ships in trade should be closer to the price you could buy it for in a shipyard with some modifiers.

I had wondered if it would be at all possible to be an arms dealer. It isn't. The only time I did much ship trading was when I was ahead in tech but behind in ships so I traded with minor races for their ships. I doubt they'll put much into this feature, but the AI should value ships more if they couldn't build it themselves. Thus if I had bonuses like miniaturization beyond them I could make some money. I know I push my Hyperion shrinker pretty far.
1. What specific features of diplomacy do you traditionally like the most? I want you to be as specific as you can be. Which parts of diplomacy from any game do you like the most? What parts do you remember long after playing the most?
Vassal states I first saw in Civilization 4 Warlords. Actually I remember Alpha Centari had factions that would surender and still exist but no longer need to be eliminated but I don't remember how much you could order
The scenario that disallowing tech brokering avoids is this: I am the Terrans and I trade the Drengin tech A for tech B. I then go to each of the other 6 races and trade them tech B for another tech, meaning that for tech A I just received 7 techs. This is further comlicated by the fact that I can then go and trade tech A to the Iridian Corperation for Tech C, trade that tech around and get another 7 techs, rinse and repeat. Now, that lit
Has there been anything said about how combat works in GC3? The devs talked about it a little in this dev stream .
I saw that one. Watched it again to make sure I got all the information. The only thing I came away with is that there are assault ships and escorts. Did I miss something? Also they sai

I'd actually prefer some less tactical combat. I liked the combat in MoO1 better than MoO2. In MoO2 you mostly just used the best space/damage weapons and rarely had to adjust anything significantly to account for the enemies designs. Largely because bigger ships were always better, and somewhat related, your base defense, of armour and shields were always defaulted to the best with little reason to go down. In MoO1 small ships were viable, which meant shields varied, as well and

I'm confused by the video game violence issue. If I support 'Video Game Violence' does that mean I'm supporting the issue which means I'm against violent video games, or does it literally mean I support violence in video games? I'm trying to create a character somewhat like me.

I often spend five hours building an empire and then discover I've already outclassed the AI without ever coming into a real conflict with them, or I get one good battle out of them and they're done. It's a long time to play to discover that the planning I did was not necessary. Monster threat level is inconstant. I've avoided battles because I thought I would get killed when I wouldn't and others I started and lost badly. Also regarding whether I use auto-resolve.

This upcoming DLC... Will it be in a (discounted) package with the other DLC? Because I haven't bought any yet, but I was about to. Should I wait for the new one or get the current DLC now? Unless I hear it's definitely not going to be packaged I'm just going to wait and see.

I'm trying to get the game set up to play out more the way I want. My first game (of Legendary Heroes, second counting Fallen Enchantress) took 30 hours to finish and that's just too long. I tried setting the tech and build speed faster, but I was half way through the tech before anything really happened. I've since tried just the 25% thinking developing cities faster will allow me to get technology faster anyway. Also I went with a small map because I don't wa

I attacked Lady Irane and a Wisp and won the battle. My ogre hero gained a level and I wanted to see if the chain mail perk did anything so I saved and reloaded, but this time the Wisp wasn't there. Seems that reloading caused it to disappear.

I have a request. In some other mods then put in the description of a building what it's specific effects are. There's an information window for that but it's not always clear, specifically with projects that can give planet or empire wide bonuses. Some of them will list two of the same bonus and not say which is for the planet and which is for the empire. Usually you can tell going by how big the bonus is but I've still managed to be fooled and build something on the wrong pl

I'm wondering results the various options get you. I don't want to have too many planets to manage but I don't want to have too few so I want to get the right level. I usually keep the galaxy size to medium, but if the amount of stars and planets are independent of the galaxy size I might make a bigger galaxy with less in it. Especially since I very few of my games have engines and life-support been necessary because of the shot distances between things, but I want to have

I read that the order that the AI targets ships is Total Attack / (Total Defense + Hit Points) highest number first. However I was seeing a ship of mine that had very high defense and comparatively little attack being the first one fired upon and covering the whole fleet. I did some testing and it was because it had a module that increased fleet attack. It makes a certain amount of sense that you'd want to take out that ship first since it's powering up the whole fleet, but t

This is rather pointless to complain about since the game's been out for a long time and I'm sure others have said it before, but designing ships is hard because you can't tell what it will actually be like until it's built. The obvious problem is with range and speed. You have a base level of technology that adds to range and speed but the ship design screen doesn't reflect that. So often I think I should add engines because going from 1 to 2 is twice as fast, exc

I'm not happy with the changes to farms being a percentage bonus because now the planet tiles that are supposed to increase the food production of farms built in the tile don't do anything.
