Screenshots just display the desktop in action of any particular user, they cannot be downloaded and applied [as you would with a skin] The Cottage Courtyard screenshot displays a desktop using the Oxidized WindowBlinds. There are actually 17 standard images that need to be skinned to present a complete Logon screen. It is really annoying when people just slap a wallpaper or background image and leave all the rest of the buttons at default.

BootSkin still runs on 16 colors 4 bit. There was some talk about making it run on more colors and a higher bit but no changes have been made. If the skin doesnt look like the one you downloaded is probably because the person that made the skin used a screenshot of the skin prior to the 16 color conversion.
