I was actually anticipating both MoO III and GalCiv. I tried like hell to like MoO III, even spent 50-60 hours trying to do so. That damn viceroy system, I turned it off, yet, on occasion, things would still be changed by the AI. I did like the ship design, tho. And I miss that in GalCiv. Altho I wasn't misled, I knew there was no tactical combat in GalCiv. I really like GalCiv. My only true gripe is the random events can be a bit overly powerful in their ability to cause major havok. I hate that "feature", and I consider it inappropriate since it sounds like it was intended. There is one time you can save and not have the cultural victory numbers or percentages change. And it has been the only time it has worked, and it has worked consistantly. When it announces twelve turns (altho once it said two years for me, yet the counter was still twelve), and it shows 12 turns left for victory (you know, where it is usually displayed), then it can be saved and it remains as such n

The cultural victory method. Serious problem with this. I saved the game the month prior to my cultural victory just in case trying to submit my score to the metaverse wouldn't work (which it did not work). Well I DLed the alternative dll file. Loaded that save, and guess what, the damn game started all over again with the cultural thing. First, when I loaded that save, it reset cultural percentage to fifty percent. Over a couple of turns it started that 12 month count all over again. And

I almost never move via mouse, I greatly prefer the curser keys or the numbers area. The manual claims (if I read it right) that numlock should be active to use those keys to move around. Oddly, numlock is off for me to move around with those keys. Too bad the manual ain't more explicit. Elf

Oddly enough, when I save right before I submit (or try to, rather) the game to the metaverse and it doesn't work, when I load the game again it starts the whole cultural thing all over again. It takes me about another year to win again via cultural and it *lowers* my score. Pathetic as far as I'm concerned. >:( Elf

Odd... >:( I cannot add my scores to the metaverse. Can anyone tell me what is needed to do so? I already registered and I used the same name. Must I specify an email address? If so, I *ain't* gonna do it. Elf

Odd... The manual gives not enough details and no index unfortunately (and typical of newer strategy games sadly). Anyway, I have found two advanced ships in astroids but I can't move them. When I try to a screen pops up with a blurry pic of a person of sorts "saying" I must set the ship to autopilot to re-fuel at a friendly planet. Well the only autopilot choices I find are autopilot-attack and autopilot-retreat. And retreat does nothing for the ships. How do I get the ships to a colony (p
