Ok, installed the new beta and found following : GCconfig no longer starting up, gives an error about not able to find d3dx9_27.dll After coping from the Galciv2 folder to GCconfig folder it worked again. When playing windowed and setting anti aliasing really hurts performace, think playing windowed should disable AA Spinning with dual core processer still way to fast. fixed by setting to one processer with imagecfg Going to a planets sh

I think it would make sense to know for a particular 'core' ship to see what tech is missing to be able to build it. For GC1 i used to have all the tech / ships on one big diagram and would follow the lines back to what tech i needed to get in order to build the ship i wanted. For GC2 i noticed that the tech tree shows me that in order to build my own designs from previous games i am missing some stuff i did research in that previous game but not what is missing so i am loo
Anyone noticed the Arcean Empire Constructor has a speed of 6 while the rest of their ships seem to be standard, is this normal? Also it is possible to remove ships from the Arcean Empire Fleet while playing as Human.
Will there be one more public beta release after .78 ??? I think one more public beta coming today (thursday)
Oops, that was Cargo Hull: 50, so it would have added up, except that the basic hyperdrive engine is 13 spaces, so it totals out to 53. Not a major infraction since what I built would have a range of 1.1 instead of 0.9, but the cost is also off. Also, the sensor range of a colony ship is 3 rather than 2, though I have no clue why. O.K., I've got the game up. without
Is it normal that we cannot build the same ships/modules as standard ship like colony? I use a cargo hull and put the same modules on that are also on the colony but i don't have the same amount of room, the colony is 42 ( Cargo Hull, sensors, hyperdrive, basic support x 3 and colony module) but when i try to build the same myself it is way over 55 and modules do not all fit on this hull.
I have the same issue, my CPU is AMD X2 3800+ Changing the affinity to only one CPU seems to solve the issue for me.
Starting new game gives me very very fast animations on planet rotations and shipyard. This seems to be related to my CPU (AMD X2 3800+) becasue when i set to affinity to one processor in the main menu and start again it seems to be ok.
Check your account information in Stardock central to make sure that it's using the correct e-mail address for your TG.net subscription. Then try uninstalling and re-installing GalCiv2. I entered my serial in TG (although it is not required to DL) and did Uninstall and reinstall and this solved the issue.
Hi gang, Please make certain you have the latest version of Stardock Central for the activation. If you check the version it should say Build 86. Thats the one i am using, doesn't work for me
Same here, activation is not working
Beta downloaded fine, very fast indeed. However, activation is not working with "Error activating the product" message.
When i restored a saved game the universe just shows as a black screen with no planets etc in it, the mini map showed no influence at all just all grey out. Could this be related to the range bug aswell?
