That's a real bummer. And, his wife is pregnant, too. I really feel for his wife (as well as all the other wives and children who have lost their husbands/Dads in 9/11). Don't know how you pick up your life after that....especially since the news will keep reminding you of it.

Hee Hee, Crae! You crack me up! Elf, is it your Birthday today? Or yestareday? Well, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! for whatever day it is!!!! My duaghter is an insomniac (she's only 3). So, I'm running on 4 hours of sleep today (which isn't abnormal). I anticipated the need for caffeine, and have a carafe of coffee sitting by my desk now. Once I get enough energy, I'm heading to the coffee lake to fill it back up!!!!

Figure skating and gymnastics are *real* sports (just ask the 9 year old who spends 17 hours a week training and competing in events until they can get to the Olympics). Besides timed races, there would be nothing else in the Olympics. Even Hockey has Judgement calls that can effect the outcome. Plus, those events *can* be judged fairly. Especially the "technical" judging parts. Of course, the other part is: people *like* those sports, and they have been part of th

Isn't that a African Dwarf water frog? You would think that "Frogboy" would know the actual classification of his frog My husband had a 19 or 20 year old cat (they are still debating how old "Crackers" was when he died.) He was a tough cat. by the time he died, he could only see out of one eye, had half an ear missing, and only had 3 teeth- all from fighting. I've really only had dogs, and none

Ok, so you get the speed=whatever (not going to debate, because it really doesn't matter) What about cost versus the cost of an equal PC? What about actual software available for the OS? Of course, I really don't like Macs....never did. i had an Apple clone back in the Apple II days, and I didn't like that, either. I keep trying them, and still don't like them. I'm not an MS advocate, either. But, I'll take XP over OSX any day. Of course, i do have a lot of desktop enhanceme

Grand Prix, huh? Never got much into road courses or oval tracks (though I do watch NASCAR occasionally for the firey crashes). The sport in our house is: Drag Racing. My hubby has a Camaro, and is building a '79 Capri (Chevy big block for power) for my Dad. We have a one ton duelly and an enclosed car trailer in our pole barn (along with my husbands work area and a couple other cars and snowmobiles...and about 5 engines, a few rear ends and I don't know how many trannies...) I've won a few

Hmmm...Doreen...I think you need to find a different "mate" (or, maybe you're just not doing it right) if you think some coffees are better than sex. I have tried a lot of coffee....I drink a lot of coffee.....I have had coffee from all over the world (including JBM), *BUT* I have to say- coffee is *not* better than sex....... (yes, I am married...for almost 6 years) I'm glad my husband isn't readi

GER (sorry, your name is too long) Quick! Jump in the "extra caffeine" coffee lake! I keep Folgers "singles" around just in case. They are like a tea bag filled with coffee. Works great when you have hot water but no coffee/coffee maker. I really wanted to go for a walk today...but it's raining out...bummer....
