What I am pointing out is that the AI actually did a pretty good job frm an AI point of view. First, it designed ships as best it could to counter your weapon strength. Note his defenses were optimized to counter your weapon type. Second, he assembled a pretty good sized fleet. without seeing your game, it's hard to say exactly what caused it to fall behind the arm's race. But your post describes the AI as

In all of the games we've played, there's a destined hero to save the world (or the universe). But what if the hero dies? What happens then? I would like to play a game that explores the consequences of that. You start the game as a hero, but somewhere in the middle of the game the hero dies (killed by random Bandit Marauder in Skyrim for example, or Normandy gets hit by an errant missile and explodes with everyone on it). Then you have to p

Guess the art of war was a book every aspiring sith needs to get. I would so slap the shut out of the person that did that. Lol
Well, yeah, I think it's sort of silly too. Personally I like the Reapers more. That whole doctrine of sneak at

Have fun with playing is the keypoint ofcourse I played a huge map with random planets and got 18 planets in 30 turns ..not bad..the moment that i got a incoming unreadable message from a race ..and later on i saw a ship..then it is time to start with the cons
sorry about that last disconnection.
No problems. I needed to sleep anyways. If you want to continue we can, but I think I've demonstrated pretty convincingly the best strategy for two-player games with 50+ planets with which to colonize.

I'm an excellent chess teacher. My philosophy is to beat them repeatedly until either 1. They become strong or... 2. They give up in despair and learn that they lack the talent to play chess, thereby saving them a lot of time for other activities. It's great. Lecturing, for the most part, is pointless. The key is to BEAT THEM REPEATEDLY AT CHESS OVER AND OVER AGAIN, WITHOUT MERCY OR KINDNESS and then laugh (secretly) at th

Take a look at my civilization and if you think you can still beat it, let me know. Bad start so only managed 17 colonies by turn 27. Didn't play that optimally either. With a better start I could have done much better. About to get the rest of the planets on the map (may have overbuilt colony ships though). Going for Malevolence level 5 (free big ship on each planet). With 30-40 colonies, this means 30-40 free extra ships that I was going to ball up i
