Thanks all. I already checked all boxes the only other thing I did was to make me the owner/administrator under advanced, we'll see what happens now.. You'd think it would automatically make me owner/administrator, wonder why it didn't.?

Every now and then when I go to save a file or download a file a message comes up saying you need permission from administrator to do this.. I'm listed as administrator under all files & have full control, so I don't get it...When I try to save file again in same place it says replace file & this time it works.. Any suggestions?

Got rid of update & all plugins are in DX folder but still no cpu meter...When I go to configure system performance meter in performance meters plugin there's no information to configure it's empty except for wizard, novice, advanced & expert..No more meters I guess...
I don't think it's a problem with the rundll32.exe because on my mom's laptop it doesn't list any in task mgr. and I downloaded a DX gadget to it and cpu meter & memory meter worked fine.
yea it's rundll32.exe, I fixed it in post.. I'll try sme stuff & see what happens, thanks..
I noticed my dx meters quit working and noticed also in task mgr. that it doesn't list rundll32.exe anywhere. It used to but now it's gone. I tried DesktopX beta update and had nothing but troubles so I uninstalled it and put it back like it was only now rundll32.exe isn't in task mgr. anywhere. Any suggestions? When I got update to DesktopX I'd click on desktop and it said windows explorer quit working and I think that's when it disappeared from task mgr, anyway thanks for any help
Why all the sudden did the performance meters quit working? I mean memory and drive are still there but when go to choose system performance meter there's nothing in it. All cpu functions don't exist anymore(or anything for that matter), how come?

I removed all mine that don't work anymore & updating some of them with new weather script, seems like the right thing to do.. I care about downloads but I care more about my stuff actually working.. I guess I'm alone on this..
Does anyone know why older weather widgets that don't work anymore are still on this site? I'd be really bummed if I was new to all this DX stuff and saw a older weather widget I really liked, downloaded it and went to run it just to find out it doesn't work. (:( Anybody else?
I deleted this widget awhile back when weather didn't work anymore. I finally got around to update it with new weather script. When submitted again after deleting it there's no option to have the date reset..( Check to reset Update Date. Only check this if your skin has a major update.) Can one of you moderators please do that for me since it's updated with new weather script, thanks.. https://www.w

On mine I have 64 bit and 8gb's of memory but I seem to remember something about this on a 32 bit machine, thanks guys..
I just installed more memory in my mom's laptop and anyway it has a total of 4gb's but only says 3.59gb's usable.. Is that normal or did I do something wrong?

I only see one sata cable hookup. But I'll just replace existing hard drive since it's pretty old and(weird noises) & only 320gb's. The new one is a western digital 1 tb serial ata drive..New corsair 550w power supply. Since I'm updating to Windows 7 I'll just replace the old one before installing it.. Also back up...Thanks guys..
