When I told my daughter she had a star in a game named after her I got one reply. Dad; you are such a nerd.

I think we can stop beating a dead horse now.
Vista may work in the future unofficially.
Wait for the next Alpha patch. I also get warnings after this last Apatch but just click OK and all is fine. In looking at the pic I would say you have two video cards superimposed on each other.
for reference when i use only my integrated Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 everything is fine. when i set catalyst to use my Radeon 7970m i also get no fonts. what i have had to do in the past was delete my intel and then let windowz update reinstall it. also everyone is getting the not compatible msg at startup it seems.
It goes back to the person dealing with it.
I would like to have my star have my home planet.
He talked like he was thinking of going all the way. That would defiantly be something for an expansion; maybe. No server required just a forum to help set up games. I have set up PBEMs before so I know what shortcuts I could take.
All that would be needed is to password protect each civilization in multi setup. The save could then be passed around. As one gets the save they put it where it belongs and then open their civilization in the Load Game. This extra step would only be needed if it is a multi player game. People are smarter than any AI at the moment. The person who makes the game
It goes back to the AIs are not in yet so the computer is real stupid.
What got to think this way is that I made my Waterfox use only the Radeon. This led to the right click menus not showing or needing time to show. That made me wonder if my intel is using what ever it can of the Radeon by means of the Catalyst 14.3 Beta I have or the OS. Intel only gives me a regular screen but when the Radeon drivers are installed the resolution is greater and I can go wide. Have 17.3 at 1600x900.
What about letting planets build Fighters, Satelites, Drones, Planet to ship interceptors etc.
I also like the ideas.
Obviously that would be cluttered. How about we leave the little wheel as is? But, if you double click on the wheel, it pops up a dialogue box with a bigger wheel, (for more exact mousing across the possibilities)(my clumsy fingers would appreciate that) with matching sliders and text boxes.
This would be a nice compromise.
An alien could be CO2 breather so by looking at dif planets may run into getting tech points or a tech not on the tree.
I also prefer the wheel.
And there is the posibility that someone will set up a computer to act as the universe for many players. If we had PBEM in multi then we could easily have 100 humans on a map. Playing once a day. It would take lots of time but the social interaction of the players by playing and emails will ...
The only way to add challenge now is to go multi against a person.
I would think that as a different ideology increases the existing ideology looses bonus effect.
On my laptop I need Win 7, 64 bit, Intel HD Graphics 4000
It all comes down to fewer movements. One click for the wheel or 3 clicks for sliders.
In 3 a planet can only build a constructor. The shipyard will do all the ship building.
Others are also commenting about adding check boxes to the options so by default there would not be the micro but one could increase micro if they wanted.
Password protect setups for PBEM please.
They warned us it would happen. You prove them right.
