A strategy I am using for one race in this game is to buy all their SBs and planets etc. The problem is sometimes I buy what I do not want for the naming is not specific enough for the SBs. Could either make the naming more unique or let us click on an other's SB and add it to some sort of Buy List.

types: Wealth - focus on making money (gives more $ to you but weakens your military strength) Science - focus on research (gives medium $) Military - focus on ships, resistance, starbases and buildings to help military strength (gives less $ but helps in resistance and other ways. Diplomacy - balanced Research an item in Age of War to increase loyalty of a Common Wealth. Trade with them the cost is less then the market. When a Common Wealth is form

You should also work on your starbases. You want the AI to see you with enough military power to give them more than a bloody nose. Another is to bolster your resistance and soldering. Also work in diplomacy so civs next to you like you by using diplomacy and trade. There are many areas to work on to give the same results. Use a little bit of everything.

Debug Message: CSDFModelCore::LoadModelData has detected an SDF file that is an older version of SDF than expected: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\Gfx\Models\Components\Meshes\ColonyModel_WeaponTexture_A_01.sdf If you delete the SDF and then verify the game does it work then.
Every planet doesn't need enough food to have a City. It might be interesting to split cities into Settlement/Town/City/Metroplex progression series to limit food useage and hence population (also addresses morale problem with high population planets)
It may need some modifying but https://www.nexusmods.com/galacticcivilizations3/mods/113</a

I usually update my designs after a tech is researched. Having the button in the shipyard makes me do an extra look and click. Can we have the option in the options to have the design button show. Everything else seems to me as speed bumps.

You can do the beta now for 3.0 and it took my GRM civs and did a number on them. Maybe using the beta you can figure out what needs to be done.

Simple fix. Don't use the 3 larger maps. Your computer is happier and us that like the big maps are happy. Those larger maps eat video cards for breakfast and snack on RAM. If your computer video and RAM are not at the top of the list sluggishness etc is what you get.

I have Master of Orion in my Steam. It is uninstalled. My opinion. The only games I have installed are GCIII and Endless Space 2.

On prices. The last surveyor with all the goodies should be more proportionally priced . I say this thinking of value. What you get for what you pay changes as quality changes. Much like tire quality. An example could be 600, 750, 900, 1200 or 500, 700, 850, 1100. The more hull size, sensors, range, speed and defenses would decide the price. You could also use the rush cost of a surveyor to help decide cost.

For instance when I make my planet protecting ships I tend to get rid of all engines and life support and add more weapons. They can not go far or fast but my homeworld and military star base is well protected. If you take a mercenary ship, support ships and add a commander and ships that go the same distance you can make a mean fleet.

I agree that it is great and addicting. There is no one strategy that is best. It depends on who you are, what you are doing, who is playing ... With the ship designer I take a nice looking ship the when I edit it I just double click on a component to add it without changing the look. Ground combat needs work. For now just put all your legions in the capital.
2) Planet Stats should show the % of each alien race on the planet. a. We could use our influence and open borders treaties to convince other Civs that diversity is their strength as we move into their planets and out breed them. b. You can better affect rebellions. c. You can subjugate other races. &n
