sagire is correct. We were given animals to eat. But I am domesicated, I have 4 kitties, like members of my family living with me and I think raising St. Barnards for food is a little gross, but that doesn't make it a sin. Many people are benefiting from research, with was done on animals! I don't like to think about it, but it is fact. I will always be grateful I don't have to hunt and kill my food. I glad somebody does! I also think it should be done with as little trama as possible.

While we can all agree that the world would be a better place with more books and less bombs, a realistic assessment of human nature leads to the conclusion there are times when evil men must be removed from power in order for peace to be a possibility.“Truth & Consequences”. . . for Developing Discerning Disciples

I orginally met him, at my closet friends wedding "he was the groom! (I was already married) 9 years later, she passed away. Was so terrible! So young. 2 years later, he invites us to a party, his first since he lost his wife, nearly two years. I was divorced, (that was terrble) , so we were uneasy about getting together, even tough we were old friends. 5 months later, we had our first (date) New Years eve, actually to avoid going to parties and being "fixed up" with blind dates, neither of us

We cannot let this thread die. It's so positive, for the most part and I can't believe we can't find some wise things to say (even if borrowed) to encourage all. I know I have enjoyed this "words to live by" so much! Please dig deep, find those words and pharses and share, share, share!

In reference to thread #500. "Aristotle said this". Imagine having everything; money, knowledge, fame, postion, power, security. Those soon would have very little value without true friends and family. The ones who would care for you even without position, knowledge, fame, money, power, security. Yes, I am sure there are people that live today, that have no "real" friends and loved ones, but seem to have "everything" else. What a meanless existence.

Werewold is also correct,we now use, gregorian calendars and have in the past used Myan time tables, so the date is not accurate. It is an observance of that event. Spring time was chosen because of the renewing of life, ie, the risen Christ!

I was confused as a child too, I had been told and raised to follow a tradition going way back, one based in unfounded tradtition! A pegan tradition. As I grew older and wanted to know the answers, I did research and ask a lot of ?'s. I have never found any "real" connection to a "bunny"a Easter bunny and spring or Easter. I understand about the eggs, I did that research and found plenty. Even "Christians" use resurrection eggs. We should inform Crissy, not jump all over her, because of one
