Yeah, no worries, I uninstalled all the software it came with, basically I went back to a vanilla install. Then I added my programs of choice. Still thinking of putting Windowblinds on here, it would be the first time I have used Stardock software in years.
No recovery partition on this one. I think it relies on a cloud reinstalltion if you need a system restore.
Jafo I was surprised to find almost no bloatware on here on the first boot. Maybe 5 to 7 programs I uninstalled quickly and easily. Other than my diabetic eyes having to adjust to a smaller screen the laptop isn't too bad.
I wasn't looking to buy a computer with or without a SSD drive, it's just what it came with. All I use my computer for is web browsing, word processing, and playing 10 year old games. So a traditional hard drive would have been fine. And 8 GB of RAM is more than enough for me. It's a notebook. Of course it has integrated video.
Yeah Jafo I would run Windows 7 if MS still supported it. Windows 10 is just a clusterfu*k of an OS.
Not sure everyone knows but for the longest time I was using a All-In-One HP computer. I was old, made around 2012. it had a dual-core Pentium G850 CPU @ 2.2 GHz, 4GB of DDR3, 500 GB 5400 RPM hard drive, and barely ran Windows 10. I upgraded the system with a 256 GB SSD and it ran decent enough, but I figured now was a good time to upgrade my computer to something better and newer. Nope. Apple products are not allowed in this house. Besides, the Samsung flagship phones and OnePlus flagship phones usually have a more powerful processor, standard 120hz displays, storage, and camera. Not to mention not being locked into the walled garden Apple locks it's users into.

I get these errors every time I try to install the latest Windows 7 updates. Google hasn't revealed much info to how to cure the issue, I've done everything I know how to do to solve it. Any ideas? I'm trying to install updates KB915597, KB4486563 and KB4486565.

According to CrystalDiskMark the SSD is doing 280 MB per second read, 260 MB per second write. I believe it's plugged into a SATA 2 port, this board is too old to do SATA 3.
I might be overreacting. Actually did a stopwatch on the system, 24 seconds from hitting the power switch to when the password dialog and chime are presented and heard, after password entry 4 seconds to a fully usable desktop with wifi connected and all startup programs loaded.
The issue is that its a brand new SSD with a new Windows 7 Pro install and drivers updated. Beats me. I have no clue. At least it's not vibrating my desk like the HDD did. All I care about.
