'Cause instead of one IconPackager I got two. And you know two IconPackagers are better than one ;) Joni Mitchell - Twisted Edit: Sorry, forgot to say it's happening to me too.
I'm pretty sure you can. Only one can be in use at a time, however, and there are other restrictions. Details available, just can't find the link right now. So if ,say, you have a home PC and a laptop, no problem, skin'em both.
That's awesome! Following that line, I can install WB in Vista and XP, same machine, while I'm deciding wich one I'll keep. ;) EDIT: Forgot to say, thanks goes to Wizard1956
...Even better; install WB at work!...
May we do this, I mean, a copy installed at home and another one at work, don't we have to buy another license?
It's confusing, at least! Edit: I was doing it the wrong way, I think. I was trying to see something in SDC, but now I've installed Impulse and everything is clear now.
So, no horses at all and no options to ask us where we can park our horses, well I'm giving up. That's it. QUIT.
Where's the frog??? I don't want WB moving my skins!!! And I mean THAT!!!
Mr. Banfield, I thank you for that, I mean, for your instructions, really. I've used those and they worked for me. What about those users that cannot do this? That cannot mod the registry? Ok! I'am all Ok! Forget it.
Sorry, but I can quit SD if you want me to. Just tell me, please.
Due to time constraints we cannot provide a function for changing the location in the WB UI for 6.0 This is something that needs a lot of testing to ensure 64 bit and other user accounts continue to work correctly. For now if you want to change the location then you can do so via those registry keys. But what about us? No cookies for 32 bit (WinXP) users or whatever you call us, even if we pay for SD, we don't get or we don't
Sometimes . .after making a request . . it's best to give it some time. But don't kill your horse!!! <a href
Repeating myself: Frogboy : We can look at an option for letting people choose where the skins go though. Me : Oh my God, that's all I want Me, again : The lambs lie down on Broadway... What was that? I can't remember! Please, let us choose!? <a href="https://www.wincustomize.com/resources.aspx?cmd=3" title="Posted via WinCustomize Browser/Stardock Cen
Let us choose!
Just give us (XP users) the option to move or not move, or to choose the place we want our skins TO BE! That's all I want
Count this as a vote for one (1) location for all. Wherever we want, and that's IT!
The lambs lie down on Broadway...
We can look at an option for letting people choose where the skins go though. Oh my God, that's all I want
I agree. EEEEEEEKK! here too
Asking the user would require a change to how SDC works. Once your skins have been migrated you are free to change those registy keys to point to any folder. Though it is very important that all users have read write permissions on that folder. Dear Mr. Banfield, And it's a pleasure I'm quoting you, because I know who you are, but that's my point: I'm all sat here. I've done all the registry changes and it's working pretty good for me ri
I've updated right now to v5.92b.093 but I've seen no sign of a fix for what I'm asking for. Sad, just sad! Well, we are just the patron here, doesn't we?
...Microsoft believe than an app consists of executable files and data files and that user data files should not be stored off \program files. These two requirements mean there are only 2 suitable locations for the WB skins... Well, again, what about an option for us XP users to choose the place of our skins? Won't you please? Is there a risk of The Big Brother (MS) not giving the "Windows Vista Ready Seal" to Stardock? <img src="http://images
Sorry, no SPAM intended, but I have to say that I respect Stardock and its devs A LOT. If not, I wouldn't be here. I love you all, I'm just asking for a feature that I think should be good for me. Maybe a little selfish, but maybe not. I read other posts asking for this. Thank you all - Love you all - Peace
P.S.: I don't care if "you get into having multiple copies of skins for each user account and what to do if a user runs an app as another user". I could handle that. In my computer that's just ME. I want an option where I can choose how it will be handled, that's all
Hi, @Zubaz: I know it's a beta, I've just exaggerated a little, therefore, I'm here again. After saving all my skins, icons, gadgets etc., I've uninstalled everything: WindoBlinds, DesktopX, IconPackager, even SDCentral etc. After that, rebooted, and then, used RegEdit to clean up all traces left behind by Wise (not so wise) uninstaller After that, I've launched ZTreeWin and deleted all director
Hi, I've reinstalled WB6 to try the registry fix, it asked for a reboot, I did so and it didn't run after that. I've tried to launch manually and it asked, again, for a reboot. I've tried the third button (I don't remember the label) but it didn't help. I've unistalled WB again and gonna try to reinstall it later but I'm loosing my faith:( <img src="http://im
