When I was in high school (yes, time for another high school story) I had some friends (really, I did) and one day when we were talking (as friends tend to do) one of us came up with a silly idea (arn't they all?). I don't remember who, but that's not important, the idea is what's important: We were going to make candy.

So you planned your stress away, not everyone can do the same. hehe, my mother and sister went slightly mad for my sisters wedding.
I like to answer questions, so if you ask one I'm likely to answer it. I tend to stay away from the more extreme topics, since they have a great chance of going all flamist, which I don't like. There also has to be room for commenting, some article come across as so complete I wouldn't know what to say as a comment. I'm also likely to respond to people telling about the good/bad in their lives, to either congratulate or offer support.
Mayhaps that is it, the bride is so stressed out that it's all they can do to not go nuts? After all, as you put it, it is the biggest day of their lives, I would expect it to be stressful. And as for those unmarried friends, well they might have some surprises in store for you
