I see nothing wrong with hating sin. It's when you start hating the sinners that you have to take a step back. Everyone's a sinner, so you hate everybody. Time to reevaluate. Remember, you are to love everyone and hate sin, not hate everybody who sins. Hating behaviours have long been the right of all. Making it illegal to express that hatred in words would be damaging in the long run. After all, if it's a similar penalty to express hate in words as in actions, how much easier to l

I appreciate your answers, MM, aeryck, and KFC! Thanks! And LW, thanks for pointing out that I was being closed-minded. I'll try not to let it happen again. As was supposed seems to apply to the Son of Joseph part, not the son of Heli part. It's true that the bloodlines can't both be for Joseph, but why couldn't he just say that Joseph was the son-in-law? Or son by marriage? It would be so much easier to pick up on, instead of thi

It sucks that God disciplines the ones he loves, but that's what's best for us. Discipline/tough love is the greatest tool to use towards growth. Sadly, discipline/tough love is slowly being outlawed.

Are there any good Optical Character Recognition programs out there? In my office, we often hav eto scan hard copies of documents and turn them into Excel spreadsheets. Currently, we have a program that does this, but it requires a lot of editing to get it to what we need. Because we are accountants, we NEED to have the scanned document be an exact copy of the old

So that's why I hadn't seen it yet. KLF and Lula? Yeah, KFC and Lula do go on a bit, but it's helping them both in apologetics, I think. So it may actually serve a purpose. As for me, I take it as it comes. If people are lying, I'm going to be the last to know. It doesn't really make me mad, life is too short to worry about people lying about who they are. Unless it directly affects me, like if someone tried to be my friend under another name after flaming me on an

I feel that the main purpose of a gun for most people is not to kill, but to threaten to kill. Policemen have guns, but for the most part, do not shoot people. Sometimes they do, because they do not surrender to the threat. But most people do surrender to the threat of a gun, making the primary purpose to gain control over another, not to kill another. Some people definitely are killers though, and have guns for killing.

I definitely agree with you Dr. Guy, about no foreign power dictating what you can or cannot say or do in your country. Great point. But, you do not represent your country in the same way as the Queen of England does. As a figurehead, those restrictions are there, just as they are for any ambassador. But, as an ordinary citizen, I do not have those restrictions.

Is the easy AI any better? Because in CK:RoW it's really terrible, and it's too easy. But Medium is a little too hard for me to take on (yeah I know). I wish there was a level between there, where they actually build units but not so fast. And, the medium guys take over everything on the map before I ever leave my stronghold.

On my thread I will only accept an affirmitive answer. If you want to dispute it, you have your own blog, and I will look into it. In fact, feel free to post a link to the thread right here. I believe I meant to ask 'how was Mary related to David' in that quote, but missed a word. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Awesome rant, Rico. I especially love your comebacks... "Rico Gregg, 33-7, 16 knockouts." I can't get away with that one, but I sure wish I could. "Jythier, Yale, never." It's true- never graduated from Yale, Dartmouth, Harvard... "I've traveled Europe and I speak six languages." "It must be difficult to know so many languages but have nothing to say in any of them."

Hey, I'm supposed to be the fictional Tribulation expert, KFC's the Biblical Tribulation expert, and you're the expert... Catholic, I guess? Ah well. You should probably read the book of Revelation before you make up your mind about the end times. I don't recommend reading Left Behind, though, because it could be all wrong and have screwed me up so bad I don't know what's real and what's fiction. Never mind the violent video game they tried to make acceptable to Christian fans. Anyw

Matthew and Luke both point out that Joseph was from the House of David. But the Messiah was to be born of the house of David, and Joseph was not exactly involved in the whole conception thing. So, how is Mary related to David, or, if we don't know that, how do we know that she is related to David? Luke 1:27 does not answer this, as far as I can tell - it simply sa

"They are not the thing itself. While people are 'born' and people 'die' in the relative sense, they do neither in the absolute sense. Let's take, for example, a notion you are familiar with: the soul. Let's assume that there is, indeed, a soul that migrates from one dimension to another after death. What then is death, really? Or birth? The thing itself, the soul, is and always will be, as you might say, residing with God." Jesus said that through him you could find eternal life. That

Young people are in trouble. Just by going to an assisted living community, she is already being mocked by her peers. If she tries to share a story with anyone that does not highlight how boring and dumb it was to go, it will not go unpunished. "Like, I went to this place for old people, and the people there were like, so old." leads to "You can still be in our group of friends." "I went to an assisted living community and the people there were so interesting and told

Based on the books in the Left Behind series, which are not scripture, but written from scripture (not that I bothered to check, so keep that in mind) the temple will be desecrated by the anti-Christ at some point in the Tribulation. Therefore, it will be rebuilt. It has to be rebuilt.

Actually, if you could give a few specifics, that would be great. I don't care who has more knowledge about it, I just want to have some knowledge about it so I know who I'm posting about.

The Queen is a figurehead. An ambassador to the world, in fact. How can you say she is not part of foreign policy? She may not set foreign policy, but she certainly represents Great Britain in such a way that she can affect it! If she went on TV and said "Screw you, Muslim community" it would certainly affect the relations between Iraq and Great Britain. Basically, knighting this guy is the same thing, except less overt. It doesn't really matter what she says or does - it won't affect the

That's actually more disturbing than funny. The ability to guess about things has been around for generations. In fact, that's how evolution was created. Someone guessed it! Someone once guessed the sun went around the earth, and people said, Well done! Proving it is much more difficult.
