Yes, unfortunately there's nothing that can skin Office 2016 applications. At least you can use the built in dark theme in Office 2016 to cut the glare.

After you've selected a specific style you should see a link called "Modify Style" to the right of the style preview. After you click on it the rest is straightforward. Note that some skins recolor better than others; you just have to experiment. I usually start by clicking on the color squares and see how it effects the preview. Hope that helps.
