Asharak, any truth to the rumors that the GoneGolders will be using the GammaSquads tiny remaining corner of the Metaverse Map to park our space yachts? And how much do we tip them? ;)
"#156 by Citizen Chaim Mandelbaum - 3/29/2003 2:49:01 PM In my game I set espionage on the Torian high and quickly got my level of intel on them to medium. When I went to look at the stat screen the game crashed. Since then, every time I try to look at their stats the game simply dumps out back to the windows screen. It doesnt do this for any other race, only the Torians. " I've had this same problem with the CTD, and have mailed in my save game. It's my only problem I've had
What's the difference between the effects of a Foreign Relations module and a Interstellar Concordium module? One mentions that it's effects apply to adjacient sectors and the other doesn't, so wouldn't that mean that the one that affects the adjacient sectors is better, and so you wouldn't want to build the other?
Also, perhaps we can break it up into separate forums, for instance 1) Gameplay Questions, 2) Fan Mods, 3) Technical Issues, and 4) Off Topic items.
I have a saved game where if the same steps are taken each time, the program will crash to desktop. It occurs when I select "Foreign Policy", then "Report", then the Altarian logo in this particular save game. Is this a known bug, or does someone want the save game (and does the associated folder and contents go with it as well?)
I'm a little vague on how IPs are traded, and what exactly are they good for? Can I spend them somewhere? I know they have something to do with the UFP votes, but are they "used up" when a vote is taken?
I'd like an answer too about the "What happens to the money for unused build slots? If for example I'm devoting 100 bc a turn to military spending but not building any military units do I get that 100 bc back or is it just wasted?" Is what Louis-guy reid said correct, that you "loose(sic) it"? So if I don't have something in a slot, the money is spent anyway? Sorry for being dense, but this seems counter-intuitive.
49, and my first wargame was "Tactics II" in 1963. I was supposed to be a little too young for it, but little did my parents know that I would be playing games for the next fourty years. Wish I had that old copy (:(
Visiting JavaScout's site is what convinced me to take a chance on Galciv. There is great stuff there :)
