Good to hear its fixed in the next update. Don't know if I can contain my invasion desires until the next patch though.. For now I will sell off the offending colony to my drengin allies. Nice to have pinpointed the problem so quickly anyway.

OK so a few people seem to get this crashing issue. In order to help determine what is causing the problem, I suggest that you install the stardock smart exception utility and email the exception log to the support team at stardock when the invasion crash occurs. I guess the more information they have, the easier it will be to pinpoint the cause. Luckily I'd saved the game just before my invasion so I just reloaded it, attempted the invasion, crashed, then sent that except
I have a similar experience playing the game on my laptop. I was 3/4 of the way through a game where I was winning, then for some reason trying to invade a planet resulted in a CTD. I sent an email to stardock with the exception log file and started a new game. Similar situation, towards the endgame now and am trying to mop up some minor races and the bug has resurfaced. Its strange as I've invaded people earlier in the game with no problems, and other civs can invade me wi
Anyone else had this happen to them? Is there a way to help narrow down the cause of the crash, like a crash log file? Its annoying to have this happen so late in the game, especially the first game I'm really winning. Suppose I can always start another one, but I'm worried about this happening again.
I'm midway through a game as the Terrans and its now crashing whenever I try to invade a planet. It seemed to be working before, I invaded a few planets with no problems. Also the enemy can invade my planets and the battle screen shows with no problems. I started this game before the patch was applied. Now I've applied the patch and just resumed the saved game, could this cause a problem?
I must be missing something obvious here, but there's no option to fund destabilization on the diplomacy relations screen. It says in the manual that the slider should be here, I'm assuming you need to research a certain tech to do this? I thought it would be "cultural insurrection" but that didnt seem to work. Any ideas? Also, does a more advanced (i.e. more democratic) government make your citizens more likely to defect if approval is low
I'm mostly browsing these forums and playing empire at war at the moment. I just created a post asking for opinions on empire at war in the off topic section, but it doesn't seem to be visible on the list of topics which is strange.. Anyone else having trouble posting new topics?
Just curious whether espionage will reveal what weaponry your opponent is researching/using, or whether you just have to wait until the battles to find out... Anyone have any info?
Passing time for galciv 2 to be released, has anyone been playing star wars empire at war? If so how do you find the game to be? I know that its not meant to be a sequel to rebellion/supremacy, but I can't help feeling that the depth of supremacy makes it a better starwars strategy game. Empire at war is still good for a short game but I'm getting tempted to start a game of rebellion instead to get that star wars gaming fix. (Though I've read that the AI is very weak..
Looks like I'll have to wait until I get home from work to download it then. At least I should be able to get a game in Tuesday evening thanks to the wonders of pre-loading. Thanks for the info
Without wishing to sound like an obsessed person , has there been a specific time for release announced for the 21st? Will it be out at midnight on the 21st or is it more like the middle of the day? Sorry if this is in the faqs, I had a look but couldn't see any info on it.
