Either these forums or the game manual. You could keep an eye out on Gamespot.com for their soon-to-be-released Game Guide for the game (they usually release these sometime within the first two weeks of a game's release, usually)... Good luck, I've had some of the same problems myself these days with meatier games that have a lot of depth. Just hard to get into them sometimes, Rome:Total War for example, I love the idea but seems to be almost TOO much to learn sometimes...doh!

I hope so for your sake too, GB17, sorry to hear that you're having troubles. I was worried that I'd have some issues also since I'm running a beefy and hot system (FX-60, 2 gig Ram, and 2 Nvidia Geforce 7800 GTXs in SLI but I haven't had a crash yet...though I haven't gotten to play too much yet either...

I have to say I find most of these posts hard to believe. I have not had a single CTD or any real problem and I've been playing it since day one. I must just be lucky. I highly doubt he made all of this up, despite your good fortune with the game. I can understand being happy with what is clearly (for most of us) a great game but try to show

I don't believe that they've said whether or not they will FOR CERTAIN include multiplayer but I believe the Frogster (Frogboy) said that the capabilities are built into the game if they need to one day add multiplayer to GC2. How to tell if you have the CE content? in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I apologize if this is a stupid question but how can I tell if I successfully have the CE content installed or not when I'm playing the game? Can anyone tell me? I had pre-ordered my copy about 2 - 3 weeks ago from Gamestop and they never got the game in stock, plus earlier today they told me that they had no idea when, if ever, they'd even be getting it, so I told them to cancel my pre-order and I found it (thank GAWD!) at Best Buy instead. Gamestop is okay, mainly for bigger titles, with getting games in on time and knowing what's going on. Usually EB has been better in the past for getting everything on time. This time neither of them have it around here (Minneapolis, MN) and none of them know anything about it. The website now conveniently says the release date is the 27th (pretty lame that) and also that even though I pre-ordered it, I'm not getting the CE version. I'm tired of waiting, I expect the game to come out on time

I'm going to say that I DO appreciate Multiplayer in a game, though I can live without it ONLY if the game's campaign, depth, and replayability are very good. Sounds like this is that kind of game. I think StarDock could avoid a lot of hassle if they'd just (eventually, maybe in a few weeks or something) release the extra CE content as a download. Either way this is kind of snafu'd.
