I agree that the concept is brilliant. as close as we can get to 'learning' AI I guess. my impression is that the top player's strategies will be used in updating the AI, or perhaps even having multple AI 'styles'. so, you'll kinda be playing everybody else out there, yet with all the advantages of a single player game. whoa, trippy ;)

Just another 'me too' post I guess judging by others... I waited for MOO3 to be released, got it, played it, started to loath it, sulked for a bit, stopped playing, waiting for a patch. ho hum. Found out about Galactic Civilizations, lurked in the forum for a while. Dug the developers presence and finally got the game itself. Metaverse AI pack idea seems brilliant. TripGoT is right. retailers put in order for games based on anticipated sales and how much the publisher/distributor paid for shelf space. I saw 20 boxes of Warcraft3 come in, and they all get unpacked and put on the front shelves, while with some obscure game only 1 box may come in and put on the bottom shelf, and that could give you an impression that it'd sold well. and, so you wan't see as many boxes of it on the shelf, simply because only few units were ordered by the shop to t
